Terry's recent charts inspired me to post this.
Here is a fib tool, a way to look at charts. I have no memory of where I got it.
Giving some insight as to ....Where might this price action be headed .###
PART A. this is the general explanation. Not part of the chart. PART B. this shows the tool in use on Terry's recent posting.
Part A .
1. Draw the fib tool as usual * ... in this case high to low. * Note the fib values used.
2. Notice the area of retrace back toward the zero line. Shown in orange around the 38 and 23 fib lines.
3. Now look below that to the 100 to 138 fib lines, the lower orange block. This represents the target area when the retracement from the low goes back to the 38 and 23 lines and then price goes lower.
4. The blue blocks show the target when the retracement goes back to the 50 and 61 fib areas. This target being around the 161 to 178 fib.
Part B.
1.This is Terry's recent chart showing the tool in action.

### This tool has no probability attached to it that I am aware of. Only the Possibility of where price might go based on where it has been.
As Strat might say.. only what the Ice Cream man might serve you.

This is very interesting Lou as there are many different ways to look at the charts.

I have looked at so many of them it has made me dizzy and confused. When I come back to Strat's shadow coupled with the 200ema it makes it so much clearer. The shadow along with the 200ema seems to capture any and all of the other ways of looking at them.

Just my preference but I suggest that we need to pick one way to look at the charts and stick with that as I have tried so many other ways that it only confuses my mind.

Hi Terry, I have no intention of replacing anything. Originally my screen shot had the Strat Shadow on it and I put on the fib tool as an overlay but I removed the SS due to clutter ...for the screen shot.
... I simply wanted to say, " Hey look at this ! "

Here's my look at what Big Boys did with prices to fill their sell orders.
The black rectangle is the SR of D1 chart.
The blue rectangle is the SR of H4 chart.
See how they push the price up on H4 chart and what is a good entry point.

I have received a lot of useful information from this thread.
I don't have much to give back, here is an entry I took on Friday.
I definitely won't regret taking it even if it goes the opposite direction.

Agree, I also use lower timeframe to see price action at higher timeframe's SR. Also gives you more confidence when your SL is above lower high or below higher low (also SR) as Strat mentioned.

Thanks to Strat and everyone, I finally understood what trend trading is, and it has the potential to be more profitable than trading against the trend. I will practice more and be ready for the plans before doing any trades.

Hi all

Still making good progress with my trading...20% eventually in Feb and 18% so far this month.

i would like to share an excellent indicator that is a great aid in pointing towards which pairs are worth watching for high probability trades. i am not talking about a wait for the signal and then go indicator, this still needs everything taught on this thread.

Search Madash and csdash on forexfactory and if you think it could help you, download one or both indicators, make sure you get the latest versions.

Hi guys sorry i didn't do my TDA last week but I have been working on my mechanical engineering degree.

Anyway new week and new learning.

AUDUSD,
Daily time frame produced a BEOB near 0.78092 but nothing on weekly.

EURGBP,
Daily time has nothing and weekly is the same but some wick exhaustion which could indicate a reversal.

EURUSD,
Daily time is ranging and stuck between 50 and 200 moving average so waiting for a break. Weekly i believed did not produce a candle pattern in the way of a spinning top.

GBPUSD,
Daily time frame produced a BEOB but nothing on weekly.

USDCNH,
I closed profit on this trade last week by trailing stop loss. There could be more continuous movement to the upside but will waiting for a Monday close to see what we are given in the way of candle.

All feed back is welcome. Sorry i couldn't upload images but something wasn't working correctly will try for next week or next trade.

Don't guess the market, let the price tell you where they might go.

EURUSD
Probably a pullback. Notice the price is being kept at the bottom of WCC.
We are using EMA 72 instead of EMA 50.

The 50 % is pulled to the end of the bar.

In this way the 0% is projecting into space.

I got mine (and a wife) in 1970!

AUDUSD is in it's ABC correction after completing it's 5 wave sequence so look for the beginning and end of each corrective swing.

EURGBP is nowhere near a reversal even though PRICE is at support - there is not much stopping it testing 0.83

EURUSD is in a monthly swing down in a longer term up trend. Look for the weekly to give PASR to continue long

GBPUSD is testing monthly resistance within a monthly range from October 2016

USDCNH - THIS IS NOT A FREELY TRADED INSTRUMENT and is subject to the whims and pleasures of the CHINESE COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT. You may have made money on this at some time but I GUARANTEE you will eventually be gobbled, chopped and carved up and painfully spit out in millions of pieces.
