OK, i must admit, that i am not that surprised, have been following your journey closely enough.
I have told you it is possible when we had the lessons, 6 months minimum acct history to qualify+ 4 months minimum to get to "pro" phase.
I have no doubt that with your dedication you will succeed.
and You have made it!

(and of course, i feel the satisfaction of being validated on the longer term too: what i have put together is a no-nonsense, objective enough approach to the market what most importantly can be replicated for consistently good results. )

thank you for sharing the result here, and looking forward to hear about the next milestone ( 350k max funding) being hit, somewhere about 6 months from now

Zoltan and fellow traders.

I have just concluded my training and mentorship with Zoltan and would like to offer my experience and feedback. I want to stress this is ALL my own words and there is nothing in this detail that I have been asked to write in any way by Zoltan, this is all my own experience.

Having dipped in and out of Forex for about 12 years and like many struggled to find consistency and struggled to find a path to profit I turned to Zoltan for help. I had blown 2 sizeable accounts in the past, had 2 previous (so called mentors) that offered nothing of any substance. I spoke with Zoltan 2 or 3 times before we agreed a timescale and that we could work together. Zoltan sent me some books to read prior to starting with him, not the type of books you would assume would work with trading, but once I had read them, it all made perfect sense and offered me an insight to how the training would evolve.

The training was in sizeable chunks, sometimes with homework to do and we didn't move on until both sides were satisfied with the outcome. Zoltan was more than generous with his time and still is. What I personally craved from trading was a structure, a methodology, the edge that comes with it and most importantly how to protect my drawdown. This was all covered in the training. Once we started live trading together I felt confident why I was trading that pair, why I was trading at that price, what I expected the price to do and also what I needed to do if the price did not react as expected.

This is trading with high probability scalping moves and it all makes sense, even if you have not traded this way before. All my live trading with Zoltan has been done with a sizeable real account (not demo). 100% of the trades over the first 7 days of trading have met expectations within the methodology laid out in the training and I have made profit every day so far. I cannot predict the future, but I know I have a clear foundation to trade in it and that came from what Zoltan has taught me and for that I am very grateful.

a bit fewer setups for my liking, some months suit an approach better than another, but cant complain about it.
the first 3 months of 2021 is near identical. i am very much content with it as is.

parallel, the Axi prop account is doing well, now on the 10th week and stage#2; did go thru the planned raise of equity, did get the maximum matching of funds.

discord: once in a while comes up someone like to join there. we have a good core of traders, mostly ( though not only) scalpers, trading daily. it is a trading room mainly, not a system share ( although we may help out with indicators or such if can), and it is mostly traders with experience, and live accounts. discuss other trading related things, like prop trading too, many of us tried and/or use one or another.
if someone feel to join to a place, can ask for an "invite".
dont post the link here, those who lazy to message, likely would be lazy to be active there...

PMs. i have limit to 1 per day. i do answer everyone, but at times may take a little longer, if i have used up my quota for the day.

Glad you found the training as rewarding and educational as I did.

Quick update from my side. I opened a new account in March, traded most days and did not have a single losing day. That in itself may not sound impressive , but I have a full time job, usually with online meetings - so I trade on a second screen while I am in meetings! All thanks to Zoltan. Really helpful with great advice. In fact, even today we had a chat and he gave me a few more pointers.

The "Net P/L" line mistakenly 10358$.. vs the correct 358.

now that is solved yesterday, so the month can really end on a fully positive note.

Thailand is just starting a fresh set of lockdown in part of the ocuntry, and the province i stay is included. not happy about, of course. miss the gym, the pool, and starting tomorrow restaurants are 'takeaway only'. meanwhile vaccination here is one of the slowest in the world, just about 1.5% currently with 1 jab at least...my optimistic estimate that i can shelf any travel plan to visit my mom for another year. not good at all!

what is bad on one front, is a gain on another. i have started mentoring Alexey, and we are making good progress with the lessons. with no late night binge on burgers or walking on the beach, i really have my time for him. i believe we have another 2 weeks or about of the lessons left.
if anyone would be interested to learn from me, middle to end of May starting i will most likely be available. do PM me if interested.

prop trading:

the Axi acct is going really well now, fully on track to where i want it to be, 14 weeks in the master acct have yet to lose a single day.

out of interest, i have attached it to Darwinex ( being my own real, live acct, easy!) but of course with only about 3 months or so trading history the score at this point is very low ( although slowly growing as more trading is done). it still brings up the long toyed with idea that i should get back into some sort of swing trading. probably for now postpone that until the Q2 payout ( if i get there) on Axi, then maybe use that profit cut to start a swing acct with. not yet a solid timeline on it, but it is on my mind at times.

i have some chat with Tomer the past 2 weeks, representing 5%ers, and it looks like starting next month i will give 5%ers a try. i am not an avid user of SL, not like to have a cap on my max position size, so it will probably offer an interesting take. not yet fully figured out how i want to approach it, the easy route would be copying my Axi master, but there i normally dont bother with SLs trading it very low risk typically...but i am sure i will figure out something.
it would be definitely something in the "long shot" category, but so is Axi and even more so Darwinex ( though that this current scenario involves zero additional energy input from me).

Hello Everyone,

I have now completed my trainings with Zoltan, around one month since mid April for theory part and afterwards two full weeks of trading live account. So would like to provide feedback and share my view on what has been done during that time period.

I'm not at all experienced trader, started to be interested in forex trading since 2017, was self-studying, also took some paid courses, but there were no good results, assume this is what many of people had in their trading journey.

Forex Factory is the place which I visit on regular base, following few threads, mainly reading and not so much contribution. Zoltan's personal journal's thread is one which I follow for several years, and its quite rare to see someone very openly sharing his trading experience, specifically that's from full time profitable trader. We had our first conversation about year and half ago, I got very good impression as my expectations were generally in line of how Zoltan is trading but at that time was no possibility for trainings from both sides. Finally this year I took the training course.

The theory part was quite intensive, during the week 4 or 5 live 1-to-1 calls via skype, call duration is up to 3 hours. Therefore strong commitment and availability was needed. All topics were covered with great level of details, not only what to look for and do when opening and managing trades, but also the reasons why its designed like that. There were also several homeworks which helped to practice and better understand the approach.

Important part of the trainings was to discuss expectations from trading, account sizes vs risk, draw down and money management. We also discussed prop trading options which are available from growing number of different firms nowdays.

My live trading experience with the system which is so far only two weeks was final part of trainings. Some trades were taken while discussing online with Zoltan and some trades I was taking by my own. I'm satisfied with resul, traded every day, all days green and more important that was applying what I learned. The live account I'm trading now is already having minimum criteria for AXI select program with 1k AUD deposit, and the goal for me is to get enough score of 75 within 6 months.

Overall great experience during trainings and live trading, I really have strong believe that this is exact turning point in my career as trader.

opposite of the last month that was above the average of the past months, May was on the weaker side.

no real reason to it, other then this month were just not very kind to my approach. and where there isnt a real setup, the best position is to be on the sideline.
that said, it is green, so nothing to be sad about, and most importantly it will still cover all the expenses.
in May, Thailand remained in sort of a semi lockdown, there isnt that much to do and spend on anyways.
as for trading, assume that eventually the market will pick up trading range, that should suit me better; it is something cant be rushed. meanwhile, prepared to 'play a defensive game', and pick up some here and there is opportunity arise.

Axi acct continue to perform well, on the 26th May was promoted into stage#3, and gained some extra capital. can read about more here, and see updated results:

Darwinex attached to Axi master, and remains the same 'long shot' generally, with the score slowly climbing upward as acct history is growing.

this week also marked an "anniversary" of this journal thread: 4 years since it has started!

would like to thank you for all who has been a regular reader, and followed along this journey of mine switching from part-time trader to full-time trader.
like most journeys, this one also had its ups and downs, but i believe it stayed true to the idea of the start: trying to give an honest overview about what it may mean to be an actual full-time trader, relying on trading income almost exclusively.
i would like to believe that most of you reading appreciated the effort; over 420.000 views, just about 300/post, a very decent number for a journal.
despite me changing status, and the thread moving out of the usual journal section, most of you stayed as subscribers as well.
once again, my sincere thanks for all of you!!

i was for a while contemplating what to do with the journal, and came to decision about it:
this will be the last "regular" update, and in the future probably let this thread to slide into oblivion.
there has been many things shared, and i think no question went unanswered, be that good or bad.
lately, however, maybe partially as being in the commercial section, the thread itself is super quiet.
which is OK.
i have never been too materialistic type, i can let things go.
wont lock up posting or anything like that; if someone feel to ask/post can, but as i said above, i wont regularly update the thread anymore about what is going on.

that said, this is the final update for now, end of the first half of 2021...

June was slow.
not too excited, as far as the main acct concerned. a lots of random other issues and expenses otherwise, that kept things busy, from son's university placement to broken air cons at my home to try to help my friend with an ongoing defamation lawsuit by doing some internet research, to...crazy month, but the trading.

there is some pervert undertone in that this post of losses got the most 'thumb ups' on the whole thread.
i know, many of it not bcos wanting to see me fail, but bcos there isn't any other options...still, undeniable fun fact!
anyways, it isn't over yet, but per the rules it is 1 month on the sideline.

Darwinex: since the master acct didn't have the auto stop out, the same spike that took out the Axi slave was handled slightly differently, and closed a profit for that day included... the score is up from end of May: 26.8 to the end of June: 30.7
it still is a long shut, but it always has been, cost nothing to let it run on the side.

Mentoring: had some break from it, mid of July supposed to start to work with Tomas. if someone interested can find me, else i sure wont start about it a new thread every week, or build a website for it.
however, there is always a chance to talk to my former students to find out first hand what they think about the lessons. that gesture itself is way more than most courses or mentors will ever offer!

Discord: still alive. there is fewer regular members, which is fine. time has proved me right about eventually there won't need to have a moderation there, just let the room run its course. "the brutal truth of day trading" that there are a lot fewer serious, actual day traders than the forum posts would suggest. wannabe daytraders perhaps, that may last for days, weeks, sometimes maybe a few months, but even that is rare.
well, it is one of the 'real' truth...definitely could add a few more, but why bother now?

I trade London session.
Wake up about 11am most days, rarely sleep before 3am.
Never really been a 'morning person', since my original line of work was restaurants, and those mostly lunch-dinner operations.

Since I mostly fade, and Asian session less often gets good moves, London, and particularly the overlap is my time.
Thailand has no DST, LO is 2pm summer, 3pm winter, works out well.
Since the "office" is a short 5m commute..."m" this case is " meters"...don't need to worry being too late.

I guess it's because in addition to being a proven professional trader, doing it full-time for a living, almost no one is also willing to share important losses, which are also a natural part of the business. So my biggest respects to you and your complete transparency, sir.

Btw, what's the reason/purpose of that silly "1 month on the sideline" rule? I know that Axi Select is more "legit" and has better interests for their traders, than most demo "prop-firms", but that condition/limitation is as dumb and detrimental as it gets (time is money).

Nevertheless, congratulations for your sustained overall success!

i think transparency is important when nearly everything is flooded by the "lifestyle" videos, or creatively edited screenshots showing 100s of lots traded daily on the phone, strictly not demo, bcos...well, bcos they say so.

i think it does. least to offer an "alternative" view to that widely accepted dream.
not pretty, not shiny, not exciting, but real nevertheless.

to your "1 month on the sideline" question...it is a rule as any, i think always was there at Axi. would think it is to limit the chance of a revenge trading session right after the stop out.
in a sense, it is a good rule, surely able to do just that.
on the other hand, i would argue that it is not a very good rule, the 1 month is a long time. too long. but i don't write the rules.
my reasoning would be like this: typically, after a few days cool off ( 1-2 days i think is enough, that is what i take myself), once the trader is ready to start, right after the losses the next period often tend to be the most focused after a while. perhaps being in a drawdown hole ( from last HWM), perhaps trying to avoid similar experience to repeat soon, and most likely wanting to recover, but without the urge of a revenge trade.
at least this would be my own experience, after a loss, i tend to be more varied to get into a trade, and a lot more focused to take only the best possible setups.
missing 4 weeks of the best period is not ideal for recovering, both for missing the %gain from this period, and generally missing the confidence boosting that comes as a side effect from the more focused trading.
in the end, we are human, and whatever the BS there is about emotionless trading, i believe at best we can strive to a stable emotional state maybe; emotionless won't happen. not a human threat. nor i want to give up everything that makes me human. and the good news that isn't necessary to give up all emotions either.

Hi Z,

it's always a pleasure reading your posts.

There's always something to learn, either an original point of view or something I hadn't thought of, I will miss your regular updates.

Regarding the solidarity in losses it stems from the fact that we've all been there and the certainty that sooner or later we'll be there again, it's only a matter of when not if. Therefore it's sort of an emotional sharing.
