EUR/USD 15m trendline breakout

Shorted this wedge breakout for 20 pips, got in on the retrace.

Now looking to short again the M pattern on one of the fib levels

edit- ended up reshorting at the pivot because of the picture on DXY, broken supply level. GBP yields falling. currently stop to BE

Bought Euro on S1, confluence with 1h demand. Approaching supply area on DXY. Also on daily demand. Last trade was BE unfortunately, had the chance to grab 15 pips or so

20 pips on last trade

Shorted cable, top of flag, 0.618 M pattern retracement

30 pips. That's 70 pips for the day so i'll take a break and only trade if I see something obvious

I just grabbed 20 pips on that ABCD

Thing is I know theres a good chance thats the low of the day, just from experience. I just instinctively hit TP though, maybe because it was a bonus

Working on the 'patience and discipline' side of things. Did pretty well today to not waste all my gains on stupid trades. I still find myself spotting set ups and wanting to put deals on but actively held back. Which is for the best because the other setup i saw failed (thought the GBP channel would breakout, it didnt) Thing is, I was pretty close to hitting buy.

I think I need another hobby to occupy myself, maybe a musical instrument or something as a distraction. As i'm still in lockdown (have been for a year) my usual would be the gym or meeting up with people but those things are banned currently. It's amazing something so seemingly easy as this is actually the hardest part of trading for me, currently. I guess the promise of money is something that is almost hard wired into the reward centres of our brains.

I did spot a great looking short on USDJPY- short at 1.0685. Let see if it plays out- I don't want to be in a trade overnight so i'll leave it

Cable buys shown, first stopped out -15

Holding a long from 1.3868 with stop at BE, targeting 1.40, will try and catch the waves, only when I see an obvious turnaround

In retrospect, i took the breakout of a channel from yesterday which didnt hold overnight so was probably invalid. I should have waited until we got down to my demand zone. DXY made one more push up to fill a gap and hit a supply/R2

Took 57 pips, in short before long again

Took 25 pips, long on the 0.382 retrace/round number.

Chance we push down to 0.682 retrace

That was kind of a bold move for me, shorting the retrace even when I expected price to go up later... Why not though??! Might be considered greedy but I'm seeing it as an obvious opportunity to take that will give me leeway for any losses in the future

Just a month ago I probably would have taken 20 or so pips on the first trade then left it

Now i'm expecting a decent move, we're in wave 2 on dxy and this is an ABC correction so i'll let it run, possibly 1.40 to the next supply

Took 40 pips last trade... could have held for 60, oh well.

Shorted Euro here, daily channel median line. Wider stop loss as it may reach the fib retrace. This is the retracement leg of an M pattern so should be a huge drop after this.

Bit of a weird one I had planned to hold GBP and wait for Euro to show signs of reversal higher up.. but for some reason I just started instinctively closing and opening orders ... hopefully works out but not great discipline, should have paused to think

Edit- 0.382 holding us on dxy for now, i'll have to leave this one overnight with a wider stop and hope that 1.21 is the ceiling. Kicking myself wondering why i didnt hold cable for 70 which I could have shorted for another 20 by now

1.21 providing a possible top on Euro, had a hideous amount of drawdown on that. Now I just pray for another drop. If my analysis is correct it should be a fairly straightforward drop past 1.20 then 1.19

Finally my trade is 25 pips in profit from yesterday. Going to let it run to the 1.1900s

Exited at 1.2049 so 15 pips. saw a falling wedge on euro and rising on dxy which was the early warning of a bullish move

2 cable buys, first stopped out -15, next rebuy was based on the retest of a wedge on dxy, gave me a great +60 pips

Bought cable 1.3955, initially where shown in the pic. took BE then bought lower

I just took 2 x 10 pip scalps on this, TP at the top of the channel buying the dips

Shorted the top of the channel but got taken out BE. I then shorted the breakout of this mini channel when it retested. Stops to BE asap

Just closed +30

The movement is quite weak and dxy is hitting supply now, it may want to retrace

Long 1.3929, looks like accumulation

Just took 12 pips. I'm gonna wait for the wedge to break out on dxy next and i'll enter long cable on the retest of it

And a re-entry on the retest

And out with +12 again

Will look for a good entry on the anticipated break up on cable

Same thesis on dxy, coming down for corrective wave C soon
