Just closed all the trades that were in carry over from the previous version. Back tests show that the grid levels, multiplier level and pairs chosen took far too much draw down than what the new tests have shown. Starting tomorrow, I should have a better idea what the daily average revenue could be.

I have been in and out of Martingale for years and not found any long lasting success,
Using at least 400 points between steps can help. And a *1, *2, *3. Close.
The overnight charges will mount up though.

I know the feeling. I have been playing with martingales for years also. And there are a few things I have learned which I will keep to myself for now. But one thing I can share is that the Martingale is a gambling algorithm. If you stay in the casino for too long, they WILL get all your money. A different view of money management is needed and I will elaborate more later. I am still in testing mode for myself at this point. And just like my other designs, I will only share, sell, offer, partner, whatever AFTER I have proven its validity with my own money before including anyone else.

Over night charges are addressed as my EA includes accumulated swap rates and commissions to calculate profitability before closing a trade sequence. And note that in the back tests, there are no blown accounts. Even in the 5 year BT. Not to say that it could not happen, but that is what the back tests and subsequent forward tests are to determine.

Next milestone will be the end of March.

I will post daily totals and see how we do at the end of the month.

Playing the what-if game. A minimum starting balance of $2160 which would be what a 6 level Grid (hedged) would need to operate.

You haven't mentioned how you start your first entry. Or did I missed it...

Hi Jinsen. I did not mention entries as there are no conditions or indicators used. Simply a grid that runs upon placing it on a chart. Establishing a acceptable risk.

And then running tests on 21 pairs to narrow down the pairs that have the least number of losses. Trading multiple pairs that consistantly win i am expecting to offset the inevitable losing sequence. Back tests show that in many cases, the sequence loss cannot be outmatched by gains on a single pair.

Time will tell.

Not a big fan of keeping trades open over the weekend. But, we'll see. I want to leave everything on autopilot until the end of the momth.

First sequence loss on USDJPY.

Running some more tests. This week, I think I will increase the distance between orders to 60 Pips (up from 40). This give a 360 pip range per side (720) Total. Test show less sequence losses which equate to longer profitable runs. Of course to maintain a 20% maximum risk, the starting balance has to increase from $2160 to $3240. But I think it may be worth it.
