Horizontal line alert indicator for new mt4?

Hi, I've done a search on the forum for a horizontal line indicator, which plays a sound, when the line is hit but all of the ones on here ive downloaded don't seem to work anymore. I asked a freind and he said it's probably because they are old indicators and that mt4 has gone through many upgrades over the recent years.

So does anybody have a horizontal line alert indicator that they know is working with the current versions of mt4 please?

It doesnt seem to work properly, have you used it yourself?

It allows me to attach it to the chart but then just plays the sound at random times and goes a little crazy...am i doing something wrong?

Indicator will show you and alert and send you a notification on your MT4 app on your mobile phone.

NB. Load the indicator onto a chart then go to Inputs of indicator and enter price under HLPrice.

Here is another one. All you have to do is to add the files in the respective folders of MQL4 and restart your MT4.

I see that most of the fellow traders are still using mt4 (instead of mt5). Is there any specific reason for that?

MT5 has a better technology than MT4 and you can trade more types of assets especially those that require fast execution speed. The biggest problem with MT5 is that there isn't enough so called "custom indicators" and also lacks EAs that are available in MT4. My secondary broker switched all its accounts from MT4 to MT5 so I closed my account. It's nice to have better trading speed with MT5 but if you cannot get the range of indicators that you need for your strategy it's useless.

There are a lot of traders who use hedging instead of SL. So this may be an important reason for not leaving mt4.

Thank you for the information since I wasn't aware that hedging wasn't possible with MT5. To my knowledge hedging is only banned in the US so it looks like that MT5 was made exclusively to comply with CFTC & NFA regulations in the US. No hedging makes MT5 even more useless than I first thought.
