Does anyone know the fix for when MT4 won't connect to an account? I am trying to access an account under a different broker and get invalid account message but when I do it through webtrader or whatever its called it connects no problem...I have also tried this with different MT4 providers on my VPS account but it simply wont connect! Whats the issue and how to resolve it?

PS: I have also disabled firewall, antivirus, etc

May be because of weekend. Most of the time brokers/providers are updating so platforms are disconnected for a few hours during weekends.

I've had this problem in the past too. Have you tried downloading metatrader directly from the broker you are trying to login in with? If they have metatrader available to download that might be the easiest way.

1. Be sure your MT4 is up-to-date
2. Check if the server you're going to connect to is included

3. If the problem still persists click on the lower-right corner of your MT4 and scan servers again

If you still can't connect just wait till the market is open again and try again as master FerruFx has mentioned already.

Hi

You have to Uninstall the application and delete the two strings in the log file ( regedit ) which unfortunately can only be manually deleted.
I solved the problem in this way.
