FTMO - For serious traders

Anyone who suggests a prop firm should reveal details of their business model is a fool. Those details are proprietary information. Prop firms have competition from other prop firms. Suppose prop firm #1 says they have a success rate of 6.3%, or they have 755 funded traders, or their average funded account lasts 4.5 months, or whatever. What do you think prop firm #2 is going to do with that information? I'll tell you -- they'd use it as a baseball bat against prop firm #1. For the same reason a profitable trader doesn't reveal details of their trading strategy, a business doesn't reveal details of their internal workings. If FTMO were too transparent that's when I would be skeptical because (a) either they'd be lying, or (b) they'd be fools.

The guys who insist on knowing the inner workings aren't really traders. It wouldn't make any difference if FTMO provided more details -- they would still ask for more. These are the same guys who ask for TEs, proof of this, proof of that. They're just looking for a guarantee -- thinking if you pull your pants down and bend over the more they can see then the greater their chance of success -- as if a prop firm's inner workings has any affect on their trading skill. And if you won't bend over, then they label you a scammer and use it as an excuse not to take a risk. Which is really what it comes down to. They're afraid, and they're looking for an excuse to justify their fear. Nearly 6000 posts of positive experiences, and they're still afraid...

EDIT: FF used to be a nice escape -- a place to browse, learn a little, share a little, discuss a little, argue a little. But no more. It's dominated by whiners and it's discouraging to listen to grown men cry, especially when you consider the times we currently live in...

EDIT: The whiners claim they need additional information -- they need to know. However, the information has already been provided dozens of times in this thread. So, in addition to being afraid, they are also lazy. And they don't give a damn that they're subjecting serious followers to the same questions, concerns, drivel we've already been subjected to dozens of times already.

Not an easy last 20 hours, but pulling all-nighter with the thought "F*ck the Virus", markets had all sort of barriers to profitability, but here are my scalping trades..... sort of encouragement to all who trade for living...

Way to keep on after that first one. I may have closed up shop.

my 14 days trial just ended. i started the challenge by opening random trades just to figure out how the things working and how they calculate daily permitted and maxloss. so that kept me from getting the job done, and profit target not passing.
so my next is to pass with less drawdown.

Is it just me or are the spreads on BTC way too high on FTMO?

it's not great...
it's about 50% wider than Axitrader, for example.
But I find it tradeable... I'm not scalping.

at least it doesn't have the huge rollover spikes of the forex pairs.

I have started 14day trial and it's already in $1850 profits.
for day1, that's cool ..
2 losses 4 profits and win rate is 66.67% , i will try to improve that

People, what is the point of showing results from Trial, Challenge, Verification?

Your balls will only grow bigger when you show us Real or FTMO Funded results.

Maybe someone else uses pivots but mondays are a total disaster on most indicators but with this version all is good.

I am a cheerleader for FTMO... But I want to show an example of why their LP is screwing their price feed up.

They have like 500x more ticks than the market and that is used to mess around with price action and make traders react differently to price. I am not accusing FTMO of this, I do not think their set up is advanced enough to do this, but I am accusing their LP of this.

You will see below two charts:

1) FTMO averages of which I used a color to show the average prices. Blue = bullish, pink = bearish (the one where the latest averages are showing bullish)
2) The actually US30 market on a feed that I made as a broker and sold to a broker who services institutions only and has MT4 for some select clients. (where the latest averages are showing bearish)

The FTMO averages are absolutely F'd because of the excess and ghost ticks. Wicks appear from no where (one appeared through my TP yesterday just before market reversed and my TP Wasnt filled).

There is OBVIOUSLY something wrong with the feed.

Am i accusing of wrong doing? No.. but there is definitely a problem.

When I am on my laptop I do not have access to my true feed because it requires a special connection and I am travelling at the moment. So I have to use FTMO feed. To say the least, my results have been less than desirable due to fake outs caused by these excess ticks and ghost wicks. Actually sometimes the market freezes then all of a sudden a giant bar is there. I have attached my internet speed to show that it sure as f... isn't my internet speed. My connection to their server is 80 ms.


Is it my fault? Nope... sorry, its not. This is a crappy feed to say the least. And it only did this when they switched to the .cash symbols.
It is extremely irritating for momentum traders like myself because these fake ticks basically fake momentum or say that momentum isn't there. For the averages to say its bullish when its bearish means the problem is large in terms of data anomalies.

I have encountered LP's like this in my career, usually they are cheap aggregator companies (like LMAX) built to absorb non toxic flow from retail brokers. It makes me question a large number of things but mostly the technology and know-how of someone who clearly has a large number of customers and a large amount of order flow. Why would you fill it with such a poor provider who is doing such illegitimate things with a price feed.

Unfortunately, I am in the same situation with US500.cash and GER30.cash.
And it's not the first time I've been writing about problems with these feeds.

It wasn't like that before. The problems came with the bad .cash symbols.
Bad .... bad ... bad .cash feeds.

But, apparently, we are too few to see the problem, and we are not considered.

I have almost lost hope.
I have to adapt to working badly with FTMO ..... if I want FTMO and it makes me very angry.
