Hi guys,

Before asking for anything here and letting some coder to reinvent wheel, would like to know if you might know about simple tool out there, which is able to set pending order based on % position risk and aim for certain R as TP (e.g. 1:1, 1:2, 1:1,6 etc...), where R would be a previous candle (or x candles high and low) and entry and SL can be adjustable preset x pips with or without spread.

TUX_StopPending_Script
This script has almost everything and I asked tuxTrader to add/adjust some options, unfortunately didn't hear back from him anymore. He probably moved on and not updating his thread/tools. He has great tools there, but didn't add update it anymore.

I have a request to all the great coders in this thread.
Can we have an indicator to get the actual values of a news ?
Already, we have an indicator which gives us notification before the news. ( telegram)
It shows the forecast and previous values of the news ( Ex: Employment change )
I wonder is there anyway we can get the notification in to the MT4, with the actual values

Thanks for the answer jeanlouie. Would that also work for an indicator that doesnt draw something on the chart (rsi,stoch...) or in this case would it be impossible to use that indicator info like an input for coding an ea?

Hi,

I have a Volumes Indicator that does not display information about the bars when I hover my mouse cursor above it. Can you help me out with this? I tried to figure it out, but failed.

FYI, I just need the extern int interval = 5 / 10 / 15 .... (user to decide) but not other input variable, and I would not use others, thanks.

If you have even the ex4 of the singalling indicator, you can call it from inside another indicator or ea, with icustom and then store/read/do stuff with it's buffer outputs, which is the stuff that you'd see in the data window when the indicator's on the chart.

No source, and how do you think I got every 7th candle in the pic? there's an input option for it. Code wise use modular arithmetic, mathmod().

Wow, Hastings, thank you so much, it is what I need, highly appreciated.

After tested, the numbers on bars are non-repainting, ie if new bar is changing, the numbers do not change and yet stick to the old bars. Would you be able to help further by coding it that can repaint ie the numbers will be changed / revised automatically for every new bar is launched.

anyone have, or know where I can get a generic master ea.. I dont know if there is something out there like this. Example: a ea that turns on another (slave) ea. The master may turn on another or several ea's when the master's lines up. For example the slave may be ready to scalp on a 15 min. But the master's settings dont let it. For example the master uses macd on the day. A master ea with several oscillators and adx. Would give the slave better odds for winning trades. The master also should be able to set multiple time frames. Let's say the slave only shorts when the master 4h rsi is above 125, and the 5 minute master adx is trending strong. The slave is then allowed to trigger on the 15 min. The master should have the slave's magic number to allow trading.

A master like this should improve most ea's. If made, adjustable. Where we can add the stock indicators or some custom. Where we can have 3 or 4 time frames. It will have less trades. But more quality trades. Then we could trade more pairs. It may make some of the crappy ea's winners.

There is no generic EA as per your specifications, but it can be coded using .dll call.

Thanks, above my paygrade. I put the idea out there. Hopefully someone wants to tinker with it. Hopefully someone will see this and want to build one. There is a need for one. There is also a need for u.s. accounts to place trades to avoid fifo. Or one for manual traders. That takes out the human element. Where you can place a pending on a pair. But the ea dont execute till a criteria is met. The same ea can set size and risk... tp or whatever.
