End of January Update
The first month of trading for 2021 is over. Has been an interesting month for sure. The mantra for me this year is to trade with "NO FEAR". That doesn't mean I will get reckless but trading without fear here means when the market is not behaving as I expect I will not lose my cool and just execute my plan. Execution has to spot on at any cost.
My Personal accounts:
This has been the biggest month for me on my personal account. I have made gains of 61.8% for the month of January which is a personal best for me. After having a super December where I gained 39.89% didn't think I could match that in January. Never thought I would not only match but cross my December return was a huge thing for me. Between December and January, I also made a personal best of having 32 winning days after which I suffered a loss. I have recovered from the loss and starting to string together a new winning streak. Let's see how long it lasts!
On a side note, I did change the strategy in December, now I am only scalping, and that's why I using a custom start date on my Myfxbook link(the link is provided in my profile) so I can keep a track of what is happening with an approach to the market. The current max drawdown stands at 8.25%(historical dd is 46.6%) and the max loss limit which I have is between 15 and 20%.

I didn't trade my funded account in January as I am very close to hitting the 10% drawdown mark. I am doing a challenge and will combine both accounts when I pass this new challenge.
Axi Select:
This has a great month for me on Axi Select. I was expecting to pass the incubation phase in the month of February. Thanks to market condition favoring my style of trading I have crossed the Incubation phase and am in the Accelerator phase right now. This Axi Select challenge has been a great learning experience psychologically. I have never thought managing more money can have an impact on my psychology to this extent. Initially, I started the incubation phase in the worst way possible hitting the dd limit and had to take a month off. Coming back from that loss strongly was a steep learning curve for me, psychologically, and am now in a much better position to handle the psychological stress of added fund. I managed to get a return of 16.63% with a drawdown of 2.53% on this Accelerator account for this month. The return is lower because few times my TP didn't hit on Axi account but it got filled without any issues on the IC market account. Since I scalp every pip is important
Darwinex:
I am trying to get into their exchange too. Waiting for my Darwin score to hit 55 before I move some funds here. Right now my score stands at 49.9. I am hoping by March I can start trading at their exchange too.
Looking forward to the month of February and new the challenges it will bring. Time to celebrate now cuz any time getting a return of more than 50% is something really huge and never thought I would hit that point when starting this thread. Now just have to keep a balanced mindset set and February here I come!!!!!

A quick update
I have finally made it to the PRO phase of the AxiSelect funding program. It took almost a year to get to this stage. The next step is to get to the max funding of $350k.
Regarding FTMO I have decided not to pursue FTMO funding anymore for the foreseeable future. The reason being it is really hampering my returns. All the losing months of last year and even February of this month came as a direct result of me trying to either qualify for the challenge or trying to get a bigger payout. The time pressure is really challenging on the mind and also the 70% payout makes me want to push much harder than required.
Instead of FTMO, I have my eyes on the DARWINEX allocation program next. They have a very interesting proposal and will update here once I get an allocation from them.
In the meantime, I am also working on a swing trading strategy if anyone wants to follow me you can read more about it here. When I successfully complete it I will try that strategy with CTI and 5%ers.
