Not sure whether selling is a good idea right now (chart looks bearish indeed)

Anyway I'm finished for the day. Said that yesterday but got trading sickness and gave back all my hard earned gains Not going to do that again today!

GU could well punch down to 1.34.
Still away from computer, but will be checking on Monday for a sell set up.

In gold, I expect a rise to 1842-3 (maybe a bit higher) in the short term, but I see it falling beyond 1790 in the long term. Any other views?

Well I'm hoping for a continuation of the downtrend on Monday. At least down to 1800. These constant changes of direction are making me dizzy

Of course let's hope the drop down to 1800 doesn't happen during the Asian while I'm sleeping - might be worth doing a night shift!

Price has definitely been in a downtrend the last few days and especially since there have been talks of the Fed tapering bond purchases (Powell rejected it, but the market usually moves one step ahead of the Fed), I expect the downtrend to continue.

However, I believe 1817 won't break that easy and because price is quite close to it now, I expect a retracement to occur. But I definitely agree with you that it's heading down.

Of course, you may be right and price just slices through it without any meaningful retracement on Monday.

Hi!

I trade EU only, and via an EA using a system I built and traded manually last year.

I had some ups and downs but the inevitable failure came finally and mainly because of my lack of patience and consistence. The only consistence I have is in
breaking my own rules so that's why I had to resolve myself to the creation of the EA and taking me out of the equation.

I don't want to pollute the thread discussing the system itself (it has its own thread), unless you have questions and the OP allows for it so eventually let me know...

So, after a long period of development and test I'm now confident enough to run it live and I just started fresh this year with it. I just need the patience to not interfere with it and just wait and see what happens...
