How to get the most out of a trade?

For people who do not use a fixed Risk:Reward Ratio, where do you put your targets and close your trades? Do you let your winners run as long as possible? If so, in what way?

I close all my trades before the weekend, therefore I can't afford to hold trades for weeks. I typically get my setups on 30M-1H charts and so I've been wondering how to get the most out of them. I know it really depends on the way someone trades, but for now I'd like to know how others do it, so share your experience!

Appreciate any input!

"let your winners run as long as possible"

It is only possible in very rare cases, it is more applicable to the stock market, Fx is generally a ranging market.
every trader has their own exit technique, for example I go out to the first barrier, S / R.

To me, the first step in getting the most for your trade-in is knowing what it's worth. Do you agree?

I think that in this matter, each trader has his own certain secrets and characteristics. And by the way, I can say that your approach is really in great demand, because this to some extent allows you to minimize risks and not worry that in the morning on Monday you can see a large drawdown or loss. So if you feel so calmer, continue to work in this format. It is really safe, but open orders with analysis for no more than 5 days - this will be the most correct. Some traders indicate stop loss in the format of half of the take profit indicator. This is also quite a working format, so you can at least try it on a demo for a start.

To get the most out of the market - you need to give the maximum to the market - this is the law.
And of course I mean not only investments, but also your willingness to study the market and work efficiently and carefully, analyze your every step and generally pay attention even to the trifles.
Do not forget that everything here is constantly changing and here you should also be careful to study the actual data that may be useful right now. Unfortunately, any strategy has a specific expiration date when it works really well.
Although for traditional work, sometimes a classic approach is enough. This is a completely individual choice.

I recently got to know that there are people who don’t use fixed risk. I want to know how do you put your targets and close your trades? I have been thinking about it but couldn’t find an answer.

I use trailing stops mainly. The distance is dependant on whether im swing trading or scalping. For the most part i have a fixed TP though.
