What does it mean to trade whats moving?

What does this saying mean exactly? is it referring to price action? or maybe a measurement I'd use to find out with an atr or adr? is it fundamental macronews? could someone please clarify?

It means that you must have an amount of volatility in an asset, pair or whatever you want to trade before you do so. Don't trade a dead market.

You need an indicator like the ATR or you may use the (sharp) slope of a short-period EMA on a low time frame line M15. Also the size/range of the candlesticks being formed can give an indication.

That's right. At first glance, it seems that the market is in active motion all the time. But when you start working here in person, you realize that not every movement is a potential for profit. That's why, depending on your choice of strategy, pace of work and your personal preferences, you should choose the period of work that gives you the most confident position in the market. As a rule, the most "quiet" day is Monday. On this day, no significant data on fundamental analysis is ever published, so many traders do not work on this day at all or focus on education, analysis of statistics, etc.

A market is a large number of assets that are constantly changing their price and affecting each other - this is called correlation. And based on cause-and-effect relationships, the market is constantly "working" actively, then slows down, and we see either a large number of moments to make money or an absolutely boring market, when you can hardly find even a couple of positions to trade right now. But in any situation you can adjust and adapt - of course it all depends on experience and desire, and of course on having the right amount of tools for analysis and for productive work. But sometimes these "days off" are also good, because that way you can get a little distracted from the market and have a rest.

On the one hand the market without movement is of course a big problem. Someone might have already said this, but the only real way is to watch price.
I am assuming you are referring to day trading, since swing/long term traders care more about entering a trade at a "discounted" price and focus on macroeconomics rather than volatility.

As a Forex trader, it is not always clear when volatility will happen, when compared to the stock market which volatility is much more easily predicted.

Because of this fact, you must study other things that effect volatility such as:

- News
Some people say not to trade news because it may be unpredictable, I say make your own judgement based on your personal style, but one thing is certain that if you are looking for volatility a good news release will provide that for you more than 50% of the time.

- Market hours
Try and trade during open market hours, especially London and New York opens, though sometimes Asia has the odd big move. You cannot trade 24/7 so pick whichever times suits you and do not trade during dead times.

- Price Action
This takes some skill, but knowing where the orders are stacked up can be a good way to predict when price may react to certain areas, I am sure you can do more research on this.

To trade whats moving is basically what forex trading is about because you trade in live market ad the reading keep on dropping and rising. It is then up t you to buy or sale and you ene dot make sure that you chose the best options and you do not lose. There are some beers that have come up with some very unique design graphs that see to move very slowly and give you time to think about what decision you are going to make. It is a good thing but not so good at the same time because it is like a compressed graph of live trading and you may make the wrong decisions way easier but on the other hand you may actually make the right decision more easier because it gives you a sense of control.
