in the start of every week the first 4H candle wait it till it finished then put a buy stop or limit far away to the top of this candle by 10 pips and the stop you use ATR 14 X 2

SELL RULES

in the start of every week the first 4H candle wait it till in finished the put a sell stop or limit far away to the button of the candle by 10 pips and for the stop loss use ATR 14 X2

Of the trading systems that i have used an analyzed, and thats maybe a hundred, none are any good. That is if you do what they say. If you sometimes dont do exactly what they say, then the outcome is unknown.

As far as i know, any existing trading system is crap, if you use it as described. Of course you might get it to work if you do something other then what they say. But then you arent really trading it systematicaly?

From experience what i can say is that it takes EVERYTHING, every inch and all my focus to trade. I need to remain calm and neutral. Above all i need extreme confidence in my own ability. And it has taken MANY years to attain anything like that. But then on the other hand, it takes a long time to become a great football player too so its not so strange.

This idea that there can even BE a so called "system" to trade is kind of folly. Why would you assume that? Of course there are systematic ELEMENTS to trading good. How i interpret price action is kind of systematic for instence, maybe especialy on H1. Being a day trader i dont look much on H4 or D1 except to mark S/R.

How long did you spend on each of the 100 trading systems you analyzed to see if it was a failure?

Depending on the veracity of its empirical evidence, couple of days each on average i would say.
Some systems was very quick to discount as mere folly. Others required more or less profound backtesting on historical data.
Sometimes i would correlate two systems at the same time comparing them.
Many systems where ment to be systematical but wasnt at all.
Many systems had vague parameters and thus difficult or impossible to analyze on historical data.
Many systems vas very quick to discount given what was explained.
Often the authours of these systems where not consistent in theyre instructions on how to operate them.
Often the authours of these systems where not consistent in how they operated the systems they had explained.

I followed many traders live. Often they would have explorers open for a short while, closing them down as they went into serious loss. Sometimes starting afresh and again running into losses. Many of those traders professed to be profitable, but wherent.

hi guys and girls First, I have been in this forum more than 4 years ago and I've been looking for all threads and I tested millions of trading system and strategies and no one of them its working like the writer describe it, so where's the problem Did the majority of people here they share their systems all of them scams or they never ever open a real account or a real trade deal? or It's a problem from my testing software? I don't think so!!! so please anyone got a trading system or a trading strategy that really work put it here, and I promise...

Even if you tested 1 million strategies over four years, that's 684 a day, every day. Well done, that's a big effort. Let me save you some time. Try reading Laura T's Roadmap thread.

Prices go up, prices go down. At different time frames you will find corresponding action and at other times conflicting action. The key is to know when it will or has changed. This works but I am not giving anymore.

too many rules too little skill...you need to be all styles and no style...the ability to adapt to any given scenario whether that means a 5 second trade or a 5 day swing...

all your preconceived TP/SL/risk parameters etc are fantasies that do not translate to the ever changing real world conditions...

skill = flexibility...the less skill you have the less flexible you will be and try to compensate with all manner of arbitrary rules...

the mighty oak cracks in the face of turbulence due to it's inability to adapt while the tiny bamboo survives by bending with it...cheers

I can share some insight of my approach. I am more a statistical and probability believer, so my first 2 strategies are based on statistics. It was Jun 2020 when i started live trading with them

I then discovered FF and found my strategies aligned with some shared ones, one similar to the Magic 100 and one similar to DOS. I then improved my strategies base on the concepts.

the Magic 100 like one is averagely -1~2% per month and not so consistent, I keep it because it is my first strategy and just for the sake of keep using my very first idea, especially it is not giving me huge DD and is fully automated.
the DOS like one is 3~5% a month, and pretty consistent. Currently it is traded only one pair, and planning to have 2 pairs for better management
When i have time I trade a PA manual strategy. It is still practiced with small acc of <$2k, but so far it has positive expectancy.

Granted the strategies posted on FF are mostly not profitable if followed completely, however the concepts behind may be valid and can be used to develop your own strategies.

Yes. It's not my strategy but it works. I've been following for 6 months now and made consistent profit. Note that the profit isn't high, it's in the order of 60% per year so you won't turn 100 bucks into a million, but it is much better than bank interest and the drawdown is very low (around 12% I think). You can also adjust your risk ratio anywhere from 1% - 200% which adjusts your return and drawdown accordingly.

I am not an affiliate of the system, nor is it mine, so I won't provide any direct links here other than to say his system is called "NCM Conservative" and you'll find it on myfxbook in the most discussed systems. It's the only legit account in the top 10 with real results not using a scam broker (hes with ICMarkets and requires you to join using his IB code) and charges $40US per month to follow his signal. So yeah its good for a large account, under 10k is probably pointless...

The other system I've been playing with lately with success on a demo account is in the commercial section of this site called "arbitrage thief index". I've only been using it for 11 days and I made $800 on a 10k demo account, but the results are consistent. Note that it is an indicator so you need to be manually in front of your computer to find the right trades. There's not much on this forum about the ATI, but on his site page on MQL5 or whatever it is theres over 700 replies as he has developed each iteration of the indicator and made it better over time.

Good luck
