I'd given this Synthetic Index trading a go a long while back during the global lock-down blew some deposits chasing Crashes and booms and then taking on VIX 75 un initiated.

I have taken some time to observe this beast and try and find something that would be consistent for profiting every single day I trade it cos I don't believe a day trader should have a negative day at worst a break even day but the volatility in this Synthetics is too much for one to go home empty handed.

The leverage is massive but my philosophy is minimal movement massive gain.

So I started a couple of days back with $15 grew it to $51 by last week Friday, gave away $19 on Saturday and sat back to see where I went wrong.
I realized I was fixated on one timeframe and should actually have a control time frame and an entry time frame so I'm back today and had time for 3 entries but caught only 2.

I will be posting my charts and account statement here as a journal let's see where this leads.

I've not had enough time to give to trading but today fired 2 shots, a lot left on the table as I'm still learning my own strategy verifying my entries and exits.

One could trade off the control chart but the entry chart gives precise entry points.

Very funny how FOMO can wreck accounts, I saw that my daily target of $10 was short by $0.37 so I went in to get it (as if the market owes me) I lost and didn't cut the trade on time (living in hope land). i saw it as a trend reversal and went in a little earlier thanks to the Entry Chart trigger.

Went in on a BB Squeeze Breakout and add on when the move crystallized, exited at a previous support level only for the drop to continue. Attachment 3810413
Looks so promising.

Just need to be consistent and shoot for the moon.

Started the day late after some time away from live trading.
Attachment 3817824I missed the opportunity to ride drop and ended up with a losing trade as I was triggered to join the fake continuation.
I was able to join the reversal rally but I didn't hold on for long to milk the trend.after reaching my daily target of 5000 points, I started taking bits out of the market especially when it seems the platform was slowing down .
Attachment 3817825
Ended the day well doesn't seem like I will need to increase my deposit to trade larger lots, daily hitting that target will be enough.

I have blown countless accounts and I see looking back that the 2 most crucial reasons for this is.

1 Taking less than the market takes from me.
2 Second guessing my valid signals.

The second reason is more hurtful than the 1st, the lost opportunities for recovery and account growth kill more than having your stop loss hit like 8 times in a row.

I decided to come back to keeping my journal so I can hold myself accountable, when I finally eliminate those (untaken) signals I should have a continually rising equity curve.

Today was a good day, would have been better if I didn't second guess some signals

It's been a long journey of sweat, tears, frustration, highs and lows and of course margin calls.

Basically I'm trading the Ichimoku trend on the M12 time frame taking entries on the M3.

The entry method is to "curve-fit" the M12 "Tenkan-sen" of the Ichimoku Indie into the M3 timeframe and enter with the MACD and the Disparity Index

This stuff works on M1 as well and it seems it's "safer" there.

I stumbled on something today and it's gptta be the simplest most effective strategy of all.

The template is so easy to create and follow.

It works well on all time frames but I think M3 is the safest lowest time frame to take on.
