Dear fti, I will try to keep it short... yes, I was here 10+ years ago, at the beginning unravelling and understanding your MO as best I could and putting it into practice. At that time, maybe you weren't aware but a big change happened, I moved country with my family and during that time I stopped contributing, participating and occasionally read the thread just to catch up. I realised at the time, with living in two countries (worked in another), raising an active family and having a full time job, that if I re-introduced trading it would put a lot of stress on me and likely affect my health. I readjusted, never really left the market, I had been an investor for quite a few years and just continued as such but never really getting back for any long period as a day trader. I would come here occasionally and when my facebook account was active, would see you around as a friend.

With everything happening in the world recently, I reread the thread, up to about the mid 200s (pages). I could see where I left the thread and what I missed. In fact, the hand holding sessions were new (or I forgot). I could see the value of them if I was live trading at the time. Anyway, about 8 months ago, I started applying the lessons in this thread, after re-reading and thought I would give it a good go. It went OK, not great but I learnt a lot after 6 months, saw terrain I'd never seen before (or forgot), adjusting strategy as things evolved and my experience improved. After 6 months I felt I was really getting used to it and understood things well, confidence was good but still not perfect. My market read was mostly accurate though still needed to dig deeper with experience, had difficulty pulling the trigger many times, attacks were OK but found winding out the spirals challenging, most rescues were successful and a few times I cut but should have flipped.

With the flips, it was never really discussed much, though I saw you mention them a few times in the handholding sessions while going with the flow. The reason I enquired was to help with my understanding. So you are correct, even though I could be considered an old timer here, some things are still new and not discussed much, like the flip... and understood, it can be misused by pigs.

Anyway, as things go with me, another change in my life, I haven't been trading for the past two months but I did learn quite a lot during the 6 months of active trading. It was a great experience, trading naked and using the MO as best I could. I really felt I got a lot of it before I stopped. Perhaps I will reread the thread when I get another chance to start day trading again, most likely after ski season or if Europe goes into strict lockdown, which is looking more likely.

Thank you my friend for giving what you have. I understand your energy levels are not what they were and I'm sure everyone here really appreciates the effort you still give.

I already understabd that at senior management in back office is very hectic lifestyle.
Moreover you are very active persona.
You do understabd that youvlost heeps because at any step pf developmebt your foundation basics is weak because of distractions then you understsnd already that to revist to relearn becomes much much more difficult.
Same as flow of water. Once unnatually disturb all sorts ripples surfaces.
Try reread what you missed on the thread.
Also becareful not inject foreign teachings into thoughts unless you sure of compatability. Being in the industrt at commercial levels will always exposes one to a few styles of managing. Remember cannot run 64bit codes on 32bit hardware.

the way i see it, the principle of rescue remains the same i.e. Using big money to improve avg cost.

The fibo progression, entered in sequence offers a natural spiral within a larger spiral that coils into 1.618 to cap exposure risk.

1. in a normal same direction rescue due to bad timing,
scout with 4 [1,1,2]; rescue with 8 [3,5] martingale growth on accumulated 4, rescue with 21[8,13] fibo growth on accumulated12

If there was high confidence of the rescue, one could directly jump the sequence with 8 and 21 instead of breaking the large spiral down into small spiral of 3,5 or 8,13.

2. When turning, the idea of the MM is maintained, the only difference is to reposition into the correct trend. If total position was long 4, first it needs to be squared. and then reinstate 4 short (the turn), and finally sell another 8 for rescue.
+4 original position; -8 (square and reinstate in opposite) net after this seq is -4; -8 rescue; -21 rescue

Yah, understood, we see how it goes. Mind is getting older and sometimes more difficult to understand but then I just let go and see what develops. Maybe it will be like skiing, sometimes I practice something all season and don't quite get it but next season it just magically happens.

I think with trading and being out for a while, I seem to need a period to familiarise with market conditions, action (deception), terrain and characteristics. Once I get this, then I start reading (feeling) much better and become more confident... otherwise I'm cautious. What I need to work on is the spiralling as it was clumsy and mistimed way too often.. Mistimed being in the right direction just at the wrong side of the wave... Also, pulling the trigger, I was too hesitant many times and then just watched what would have been a great position play out... while sitting on the side lines. Need to work on my natural reflexes with more practice.

I can re-read the thread, most of it is understood but sometimes putting it into practice, the timing, the dance, the emotions needs work. When you first started this thread, I had bad habits that got in the way. Now, seems not too many bad habits and many can be identified quickly. No more masterpiece charts... not too much crystal balling but normally pay for it when I do... being much more nimble now...

So what I think will help is to just be honest here, talk about my issues and maybe you and others can show some guidance.

Overall though, I'm happy with what I achieved the past few months.

Thanks for the explanation Jacque. What I've found at my age, I can read and understand but still it's difficult to get through my head. I think to really get it, I need to visualise it. Maybe printing out the five way structure and then putting the numbers on each wave. What a wave 3 flip needs and what a wave 5 flip needs in terms of progression.

In the most basic fib sequence, the way I saw it was as follows:

If I am on 5 and need to flip, the next progression is 8, so I skip and flip with -13. My size is then 8 in the opposite direction.

Do you understand, when it comes to flipping, what fti means by regrouping? In your explanation above, seems to relate to being squared first?

If you merge martingale to fibo.
You implimented roulette doublw down system.
It will give you FALSE sense of success until you high skews doyble down , once in a blue moon you will be wiped out.
In roulette is table limits skews.

Think carefully.
If you write out the fibo series and the mattingale series for 50 skews you will see how you will die.

Everyone thinks casinos are stupid. False sense. Try it they will kill yoi.
