It's all about friday expiration. They don't care of anything, they have their target to hit on friday:13k, 12900,12500, 13200...who knows
100 pts range will not last for DAX unless they are comfortable with current prices slight above 13k.
Typical violent moves happen after these narrow range consolidation, we'll see today......
Yd in less than 20 min they burnt all shorts in place after 9 hours in a row of selling pressure. So it's not easy to trade these markets these days.

Hi Daxmaster , may I ask on what principle are the horizontal lines on your chart placed. I see that there are averages between them, and that they are equidistant from each other. Thanks for the great topic and for the shared trades.

1. when you think to be superman and you are able to predict next market moves, you start your sure fall, a very dangerous fall.
Cause in this job when you start to loose , you can only start a perfect disaster for your trading job and even your personal life.
Everyone , you, me included, must be aware of this cruel rule.
So I'm only a survivor here....for now,and to stay with both feeton the ground always is a must here !

2. Sensible hsitorical levels are taking into account, I mean where prices reacted in decent way. then between them , there be an average, but what it really matters are main sensible price levels. But this is only one part of the game in place, cause everyday dynamic market moves can build new zones, specially during intraday market phases. So I take into account these price levels, but CUM GRANO SALIS........

Yd lows must be tested again today, probably when no one expects the test, but if they are not able to go down there, no way, prices will go up at least until 150/160 zone.

As Mighty wrote yd, Brexit news could start a mini rally for some time and burn again short, while usual bad Covid news or Trump/Biden bad transition could start a violent sell.off.

Again, it depends on their target next friday. Then they will use news for their aims.

GM - indeed yesterday was a strange day. I track the swings > 50 pts from XO for 3 hours. The recent average has been 125 pts for the first such swing after XO.

Last week that average was 73 pts. This Monday the first swing was 52 pts and yesterday only 45 pts until the 59 pts move in the second half of the hour.

All very tight ranging / coiling for the next breakout move - whenever that happens.

So for now a real test of Discipline and Patience - the two most important needs of a profitable trader.

Hi Islander, how's going on in the Balearic these days?
And Yes, you're perfectly right, discipline & patience are crucial this job and I'm aware that sometimes or better say often I miss these virtues.
We had so high volatility last 20/30 days that some narrow range day trade is absolutely ordinary.
