We've had an unusually wet winter and spring. A lot of grain growers have had their first harvest in 3 years. We've had good steady soaking rains, so it should be a better fire season this year, hopefully. But it can dry out pretty quickly here, and Australia does usually have a lot of fires to contend with in summer.

The White House removed the official in charge of the federal program that produces the U.S. government’s definitive reports on climate change, three people familiar with the situation said. The official, Michael Kuperberg, a climate scientist who had been executive director of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) since July 2015, was told Friday evening to return to his previous position as a scientist at the Energy Department.
The USGCRP is a program Congress created to help coordinate the climate science programs of 13 federal agencies. The program works to “advance understanding of the changing Earth system” and facilitates the production of the National Climate Assessment and other reports. Its reports also help inform the work of international organizations such as the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Kuperberg directed that office through the release of the fourth edition of the report, which detailed the potentially dire economic and health consequences for Americans should the country take little to no action to cut emissions and prepare for climate change’s effects, such as sea-level rise, droughts and hotter, longer-lasting heat waves.
The report, produced by federal and outside scientists, angered the White House, since President Trump has consistently downplayed the seriousness of the climate threat and the scientific consensus that human activities are playing the dominant role in warming the planet.

A limited amount of land, that will shrink with tidal rises. People will condense putting pressure on land for farming etc. More refugees on smaller land. More starvation, disease and fighting. Bangladesh has about 160 million people that will probably drown. All around the world coastlines are approaching inland. More surface water. Produces more evaporation in a already warmer climate. Rain storms get stronger, and more frequent. Hurricanes, Typhon's get more frequent and stronger. Other places will see more drought do to jet stream changing. More crop damage and starvation. Climate denial will abort billions of people.

Back in the 1955/70s on Sundays. Sometimes Disney would play some science clips. The republican scientist are the ones who warned. About global warming in the 1950s and 1960s. It was just science to them.

Hi Boulder. I'm guessing you're just checking in. I just shorted EU on this bounce at 1.1836. AU and especially NU held up against the rise in $USD much better than the Euro did. I'm a little underwater on AU deeper with NU, holding for a pull back. RBNZ statement due out tomorrow. The market has really pumped NU up, it's risen against the Aussie and Canadian too, time for a hammer to drop

NZD has been eerily strong for no reason for the last few sessions; like you, I suspect it is due to RBNZ statement looming. NZD/JPY made the craziest run yesterday as well. I would think NZD should be the currency we should be paying attention to today and early tomorrow.

EUR/CAD also got smashed. A lot of attention was on USD, but EN and EC were bigger movers. EUR was piss weak last night.

I will be watching NZD closely today.
