Hey people, how is it going?

My first month with FTMO funded account (10k euro). Reached my personal monthly target in about 8 days. Not gonna trade this account until next withdrawal. How is it going for everyone else?

Hey guys, some days ago I posted. I said i am stopping FTMO 100K challenge as i do not have enough days to meet the profit target. I did around 7 % profit after 10 days and then as i was not in desk the earned profits reduced. Other loss objectives are not violated but have 2 more days left. So i decided to take next free challenge after US elections.
FTMO support sent an email to me like this :

"Since you have not violated our Trading Objectives and your final profit is positive, you are entitled to a new complimentary FTMO Challenge. Your new complimentary Challenge is under processing, and you will receive your login credentials shortly."

Will start the new challenge after US elections.
Intra day only.
Just signed up for my challenge... Will not start before the election stuff is finished though as I trade an USD-Pair

Yes Chief, minimum 10 trading days. Plan is to throw in a couple of 0.01 trades to meet the time requirement but no trading as such.

Hi everyone!

After you are accepted and get funded, is there a profit target to get profit split or you just have to be in “green” no matter how much the profit is?
I know there is a target for account growth but I would like to know if there is also a chance to be in profit and not get your 70%.

No profit target on the funded account. You could continually earn only $50 if you so please.
Started the 10K (euro) challenge last Tuesday. Up 4.15% with little to no drawdown thus far. Not going to trade next week due the US presidential elections, so we'll see how the following week pans out. Either way, i won't go negative so i should get a another free run at it if i meet all other parameters.

Does anyone know if the volatility expected in the course of the whole election/polling process could last well beyond next week?

Yep, here we go. Every couple of weeks a new clown visits. Let me guess, we should just grow our own accounts, who needs a prop firm, etc etc. Let me make another guess, you have your own 300K account. What's your agenda? What are you selling? Are you just member name OutThere under a new name?

For your info, I'm preparing to commit to another funding outlet 10 times better than this joint while as Barnell said, you clowns are paying for demo accounts here.

No kidding...the worst part is FTMO refunds the paid fee once the trader gets them some profit in the first month.

Using last election as an example, market range was much tigher once NY closed. Then it trended the whole week after it was announced Trump won.

The consistent part will always be that price ends up at a supply and demand zone, which we're at on most pairs. So technicals won't matter with hard data/sentiment outbreak. It'll be a guess whether it breaks the level or rejects. But I'm sure there are many out there that will gamble it.

I don't mind trading on Monday if there are no major reactions from weekend exit polls. But I'll still try and keep it to Asia. Then it's all about waiting for the results.
The best strategy is a profitable one.
In the FTMO Challenge...
first challenge is 10% and 30 days. Is this 30 calender days? or is it 30 Trading days?

Calm yourself, never said that FTMO is a scam. It is a fact that FTMO is making you guys pay for demo accounts. It's plain good marketing that you guys believe they charge you to simulate a "stressful" environment.

Here's 2 reasons why that claim is BS:
1. FTMO claims this to be mutually beneficial and they want to find good traders-surely opening up demo accounts to find talents is a fair "price", if any, for them to pay?
2. Isn't the chance to manage a fund sufficient motivation to win?

The fact is, 99% of traders lose money, regardless of parameters. You add in parameters, decide for yourself how many traders will make money. So basically, FTMO charges people for signing up and attempting a likely to fail challenge. Absolutely genius.

With all due respect, its not FTMO's genius but rather new retail traders inability to be patient. Anyone can open as many demo accounts as they want, train themselves and ensure they can meet the requirements of the challenge before taking a single cent out of their pocket. If a trader has never achieved close or near to 10% return in a month a long with the drawdown parameters e.t.c, it's on them if they pay for a challenge they will clearly fail.

Simple fact is you can take as much time as you want, at no charge to prepare. If you jump straight in, with no track record, you'll get burned and rightly so. That's simply fact and no amount of laughing emojis and bland hollow statements will change that. Good luck!
