First, sorry for my late reply. Regarding what you wrote, you are very welcome! And yes we are getting older, but still going very strong I've had a long period over several years where I have been very ill, but now I am about to go even stronger. Supporting your indicators for this time for sure confirms your kindness and is for sure an inspiration.

Regarding getting in too deep sounds like myself Be sure to take care of your self. For me it went very wrong, but back much wiser

There was a request from Mattia for the ability to change the histogram width. In earlier versions I was using absolute values as param to determine the width of the histogram which was completely wrong as practice in my opinion. In the v4 I had fixed the histogram width to %50 percent of the range relatively. But now with Mattia's request I believe people might want to change this setting so I have updated the indicator in the first post to v5. Now you can change the histogram width percentage.

And there was a long time request of not losing the line position after the TF change. It will take some time so I will look into that in the future.

Hi!

I am trying to get the Rectangle Market Statistics v3 to work, but nothing is showing up in the chart.

MT4 version is build 1280.

Could someone please help me out?

Edit: I am also using the regular one v5, which is working just fine.

This tool along with the pdf is making a difference in my trading.

I would like to know whether anyone around has or know where to find the videos they talk in the PDF. I have tried to sign up for a longtime to traderslaboratory.om, I a never get email confirmation. So any reference to helpfi d this video orso ething related would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

I think it is not very easy to find those videos anymore online but I did save them to my harddrive, at least some of them. They were recorded in swf so it is kinda tricky to play them back but it is better than nothing. I will update the first post with links.

There was a hidden feature in our indicator. You can actually define where to end the distribution. But I thought everybody would require a "live" version which means always follow upto the latest bar continuously I hid the end line. But there were some requests, I think people wanna do some manual backtesting, so I published v6 in the first post which has a boolean flag (EndingDragLine) which gives you the control to determine the end line. Now you can drag start and end lines and you will have a distribution for that range only. You can also use multiple instances of the indicator by giving "InstanceOnChart" with different values. I gave an example screenshot also in the first post.

Have fun with it. I also reset the expire counter to one year again.

hello AKif, Thank you every timemore for your support and improvements to your indicator.
I really wonder if you had time to release into the V6 the two updates i was referring to in march , I'm willing Santa to deliver them for Christmas ;-).
I seriouosly think the netx two big steps forward to make your Indy the best of a kind, are the fix of "redrawing "issue when changing timeframe ( running multiple vwaps its a mess) and allow the vwap/istogram drawing also on the higher timeframes Daily and weekly. Some Pro Traders taught to use today the Vwap in a more modern way that's why I chase your help dear Akif.

Hi Akift!

First thank you for the new v6. It seems to be working just fine.

For historical studies, I am wondering if there is a trick to get the VWAP anchor line to start at a specific date (and time) back in time? If not, would it be a big task to make it possible to also set a specific date in 'DayStartingHour' and not just the hour? The reason for asking is that I am using VWAP for both 5 and 1 min, and for especially 1 min it can be tiresome to drag the anchor line far back in time. With a specific date added I guess the anchor line would also stay fixed and not jump to last session when restarting MT4.

thank you for your good work on market statistics indicator and keeping jperl concepts around.

i wonder if someone still following up with market statistics method here on this thread.. its seems for me that on TL some stuff is missing and jperl didn't discuss much further in the concepts, for example :

1- if you start the market statistics on opening bell then should we keep the vwap and histogram from start till end of the day, or we have to start it for example every x hours of the trading day, or for example in FX there are 3 sessions, should we start it on every session or from start of the day till end, because it can generate different entry points. so my question is which time period is optimal for day trading,scalping or swing trades

2- starting market statistics x days back and the apply another one intraday it can be confusing, so which is more reliable? placing market statistics on lets say 1 week,or looking on the volume and vwap for each trading day separately without applying weekly composite, like in trading auction market theory and should we consider the volume profile shape, like bell shape P shape etc..

3- jperl discussed symmetrical days but didn't dive into much details or discussed reversal trades, lets say in auction theory we have balanced day with rotational market, by applying vwap in general we can notice that price bounce from 2 sd up to vwap to 2 sd down regardless of the pvp. also there are rejection points in the volume profile. question is how should we act in these situations?

4- some times lets say for long entry : vwap is above pvp but price is below pvp, jperl said if you are newbie dont enter during that, but didnt say what other options we have, im asking this because it happens every day.. that situation can change and work in our favor if we adjust starting period of market statistics.
example vwap above pvp/ prive below pvp (market statistics applied on opening bell) if i drag market statistics 1 hour forward vwap/pvp locations can change.

5- volume profile's value areas; ive read on TL jperl didnt pay attention to value areas of volume distribution, but as i read in auction theory market tends to seek balance.. it would be great if you can add VAH/HAL to the indicator. it would be helpful to understand market structure on the applied period.

Which player opens the .swf videos in opening post? I tried at least 7 players and none work. A few open a file but after a few seconds it stops playing....
Anything above the line is an uptrend, below the line is a downtrend.

Hi i use media player classic on windows and it opens them normaly
