1 Min News Strategy

Everyone tells you to stay away from Hot News, my friend, that is where the money is. I know someone who is a millionaire just trading 1 min on News.
In this trading life, I have realized that people like to keep strategies that work secret. I am not that kind of person. I believe opening up a strategy to people helps to even make it better. That is my hope for this strategy too.
How it works:
First of all, this strategy is News based. So you know when to set your entries much before the news time.
Well, let us first review what happens to the markets when economic news is announced. Head over to https://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php and filter the news to only “High Impact” news and then head over to your chart on MT4 for the respective currency the news is expected to affect.
Chart: GBPUSD Timeframe: 1m

Analysis: That long candle is a one minute candle, 38 pips long and it responded to the GBP news on that day. Everything happens so fast within 1 minute.

Example:
So, if the news is tomorrow at 10:00am MT4 time (adjust calendar time zone to match MT4 time zone), pick the currency pair you would like to trade with depending on the news currency, at exactly 09:59:55am MT4 time, set two opposite pending orders (Buy-stop and Sell-stop) 3 pips above and below the current price. (this depends on how volatile that pair is)
I use 5 SL on moderate pairs
Then when the news is happening, you will be able to pick that long candle and take profit 20 pips or more or less depending on the pair and the News you are trading. Some news moves the market much more than others. I have had more success by going back on the chart and seeing how the past similar news affected that pair then I adjust accordingly.
I use an EA for this ofcourse but it can be done manually too

Does any one suggest which EA is best for auto Trading
I had this idea long time ago but i got stuck with all kind of crap and forgot about it , thanks for reminding me , i'm going to give it a try !

But predicting news is like trying to predict the weather, isn't it?

Not to mention, predicting how the market reacts to the news is also insanely difficult, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing your strategy. I have doubt on your timing of the example. Pending orders are to be set 05min or 59min early?

Most likely yes, because of widening spread.
Used to trade news often like this a long time ago when I could have fixed spreads. Good fun ! Only went with the established trend though. On the long-term, a bit more times than not, no matter the news (yeah I know, sounds crazy), established trend still continued. I guess that's the price still having much of what is expected in it. I still trade during it but only after a couple minutes after or when in a longer term directional trade.

Don't forget to check through all of history if it is always worth placing both buy and sell, also those fixed 3 pips from current price, SL and TP, check that also in all of history, perhaps try different dynamic values instead of fixed, cheers all !
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

I will be sharing results from the coming news as I trade. The pending orders are made 3-5 seconds before the news minute. This is hard to do manually which is where the EA comes in handy. I will be sharing the EA souce code soon. Stay tuned

dont be angry, you can trade the news but your approach is not viable.
when the news hits the market usually gaps up or down ignoring your entry or sl.
maybe better approach would be to follow the current trend.
for example if the trend is bullish and the news is positive, wait for a pullback on the trend line and go long.

In fact, you are only promising future results; I'm really looking forward to those. Myself, I just don't think it will work, the spread is wider than your stops, you will be in and out before the 1 minute is up; stop loss of 5 pips is ridiculous IMHO.

Read the 2 threads I posted earlier, it's a simple idea, hard to execute, pretty sure this will die off quicker than most threads...
