Is anyone able to trade Crypto during the weekends? I read somewhere that it was possible and the live chat rep "sort of" confirmed it but i can't seem to get any trades through when i try.

He does bring up a funded trader that has been profitable at FTMO for 4 months, but then quickly refers to the 5% and 10% DD. So he can't handle realistic risk control when its someone elses money. So I click on another of his videos to see what his DD's are like. He's bragging about a profit he made on a trade, but that trade had nearly 30% DD, oh, and on a demo! Recipe for disaster. He'd go to jail if it were a large investor and an account took a loss like that. Easiest case to prove the relationship wasn't fiduciary.

Cobby is the reason why the retailers get slaughtered trading financial markets. An unsuccessful trader trying to teach other people how to trade. If that wasn't bad enough he then tries to charge people for it. It's unethical. 15 years of trading and he tries to authenticate his opinion by showing demos with account histories that are a few weeks old from years ago. It's sad. So I will absolutely call out his BS if it saves someone the money and time of going down the wrong road.

And btw, my first post on this thread was addressing issues with FTMO from my actual experience. The company listens to feedback and makes positive changes. So I also give credit where credit is due.

I am on the FTMO-Server and I am not experiencing this. Can't speak for those on purple trading.

Just checked it myself. It is moving and dropping. As of writing this price is around 28200 and on its way back to 27700's. Try opening it on a different device.

Well, I think you might get more benefit if you can figure out what is wrong with your connection that is causing the issue. Cause we are all on the same server and didn't experience this issue. Whats your latency to the server? What kind of connection do you have? What TF are you using that you see gaps? There is a small gap between 28263 and 28257, but thats cause it was a sharp move. If that is where it froze for you, it would point more towards your home connection.

I am running futures on sierra charts parallel without any issue.
A small gap but 15 minutes of data missing.

weird, but i think it's a server issue not a local connection issue. A gap wouldn't be displayed on the chart if it ere the latter..

You're correct, there is 20 minutes of data missing. I went down to the 5 minute chart. Last 5 minute is at 10:10 then next candle opens at 10:30. So the feed got cut off for 15-20 minutes there. By the time I saw your post it was already connected again.

BTW, if you don't put out as told by your funder, you go on their ignore list automatically until you pay up again and go tru tests to get off their ignore list.

According to me as well, it’s the only reason he made the video. He just tries to cover it up a bit by pretending he cares for the poor struggling traders. And then out of nowhere, he talks about his EA and shows that impressive 10 year backtesting curve, knowing that it would impress struggling traders who will go and search for his EA. I have seen this sneaky way of self promotion thousand of times in the Forex industry.

Even when he talks about that successful FTMO trader, he makes a point of letting you know that the trader will certainly hit the DD limit sooner or later and will also be disqualified...just to be sure to destroy any hint of dream the viewer of the video mighty still have.

And of course he urges you to ‘share his video’ to kindly warn poor newbies ! More views, more people will look at his EA, and more money for him...

On the danger level of sharks, I would rate him very highly.

that video is helping no one. It is utter nonsense.

full of wrong info... missed homework it seems; does not even care to know the difference between BluFx and FxBlue.

in FTMO,
the 10% is only one time goal; after that it is 5% and later it is whatever the trader chooses to achieve.
with 5% one can fail 5 times if 1% is risked; 10 times if 0.5% is risked; 20 times if 0.25% is risked.
overall, with 10%, one can fail 40 times with 0.25% risk; 20 times with 0.5% risk; and 10 times with 1% risked.

When one fails that many times, has to rethink about trading

In that person's own words, if prop firms rules are bothering, stop trading with those firms...easy solution.

The limitations that funders dictate take ways away from you as well as your money and your freedom.

Their "trade management" is A trade management. One out of 1000's. No one needs to squeeze themselves to one way of trade management offered by not only people who have not a clue how to trade but also squeeze you in order to what else? Squeeze your money out.

While everyone is tricked to think there is only one way to make money (going tru many many hoops to make it to 300K and hope to relax and make a steady 2%/mo on $300,000), they should consider that there are many other ways.

For example, why not grow your equity to 200% in 3 weeks instead?

I don't expect everyone to do that or to know how but there are many ways but funders are not end all, be all.

Here is an example of 100% profit in 3 weeks. Heart attack for a lot of babypips traders of course. How can dd be more than twice the deposit while the equity is 2X deposit at the same time? Money management of course.

Yes it is a demo but you know something works when it does. I can choose to run it in real next week. If I want to. There are more ways. I have choices. I have freedom. I'm not being juiced by someone who has squeezed me to make money off me if I win or fail.


BTW, several funders have built their posts on this forum SELLING their wares. I don't think they pay a fee to FF. This is all commercial activity. Both the op of this thread and the op of the video producers are commercial members. Cubby posted a completely free EA in his thread and modified it over n over at his expense and gave it to everyone for free. Tell me what free thing the op of this and similar threads are giving out? You either make money for them or you hand them your fee before they kick you out. It is a one way trip......

I am not looking for free things. Why should something be free if it has some value? The whole purpose of the forex business is take money from others. If he is labelled commercial, that means he is selling something. Maybe you don't know it, but FF staff certainly does. You are not that naive, are you?

PS: please donlt advertise here for his EA with his fake backtests because your otherself might say you are his working girl! l I used to write EAs and know all the tricks regarding backtests.

Lmao More demo accounts. You're comfortable with having a 21k floating loss on a 42k balance? around 50% DD? cool, anyone can sit comfortably and watch that happen on a demo account, i'll be waiting to see you do it on a Live one.
Either ways, its all good if you're happy trading with 50% DD so long as you make profits, which its the ultimate goal, but not everyone is that loose or accommodating on risk.

100% profits on a 10k account with such large risks TAKEN WITH YOUR OWN MONEY is still absolutely nothing compared to 15% on a 100k account where the risk of loss is borne only by the Investor.

Do what you're comfortable with.
