I don't have a 5% daily limit or 10% max because I get nowhere near any of those numbers. I don't even get 5% yearly loss. I'm not constipated like you and the other girls to have problems like that. I don't get sore knees and therefore I don't need knee pads either or whatever else your trading style requires, so stop comparing my methods to whatever you know and do in your realms.

Wow, you've made $700 ALREADY this month. I see the issue now, you cannot afford the challenge fee.

BTW, that graph is void of 'challenge fee' or 30% lost to the pimp amounts cause there aren't such cuts coming out. EVER.

70% of profits on a 100k and above account is better than anything you could currently show my friend.
Also, you don't think its a little weird that you say you don't drop below 5% DD in a year but only go on to show a screenshot of trading results for 7 days? Your screenshot is meaningless man, might not even be yours to begin with.
You can't Trade.

you could be earning that 700$ in a day or two with proper funding, but nah, more funding is prostitution.

Pass the challenge/verification and the fee is returned.

So, could someone take the smallest entry fee, reinvest into further challenges, work their way up to 100,000 and then some?
With FTMO returning each challenge fee on successful completion, is it theoretically possible to work up to a sizeable account, $300,000 and scale 25% every four months if criteria are met, the cost would be in time which of course is valuable but ultimately cash free?

Did you start with $100,000? Most I would expect do not have a spare $100,000 lying around, actually most likely less than $1000 but kudos to you if you do, but for a few bucks taking the challenge and keeping to a set criteria would do more for a traders confidence than messing around on a demo.

And let's face it, if a trader cannot pay for even the lowest priced challenge, they really are going to struggle to make money through forex trading unless they land that dream job trading for a broker, and most of us are not going to get that chance.

FTMO is a level playing field, the rules are there, your comments however are geared up to dissing FTMO or the process, so why don't you tell us all what the real issue is!

Good point. If your trading can fit in their rules, I see no reason to go with something higher than entry fee.

If you read my posts, you see that what I am saying is that they are not good enough for my trading. They don't qualify for me to trade for them. They haven't got to that stage yet. PASS.

Very nice and generous guy and I trust him 100% and YES, he is right about every single word in that vid and I admire him for his courage and candidness.

Interesting...

I am in NO WAY for or against any of these firms, but think about what this guy is saying :

1) He repeats the 10% profit per month as if it is was a condition going on beyond the challenge. It is not. No percentage of profit is necessary afterwards. You can make 3-6% per month and make a decent living (if you re living in the right place)

2) He repeats that the 5% loss per day makes no sense, there is already the 10%. First, daily loss max and all time loss max are two different measures to prevent any trader from risking too much daily, and risking too much overall. IT IS THEIR MONEY YOUR RISKING. It can just as well be as good for the trader than for the firm. Anyone risking that much anyways, on the long run, has no chance.


He clearly forgot to think about strategies that are not like his at all and that do not come close to 5% loss a day or 10 % lost in all time, ever.

Clearly what he is exposing is the challenge, but he insists its the whole thing, but without bringing anything to back that up.

Yes the challenge is an impossible beast and I have known amazing traders and none, throughout years of trading, ever came close to making those kinds of CHALLENGE returns and losses consistently. So yes, you have to know exactly what you're doing and still, chances are you wont pass the challenge on the first month.



I respect him. Perhaps he is trying so hard, by any means necessary, to convince people because he sees people who lack experience left and right failing this? Many are having high hopes when in truth, for many, according to him, it is clear that it is impossible? I would even find that noble of him and if so, hope that it works for the people that can't really afford to waste their money and time and effort for nothing.


I personally don't see the challenge nor the rest of the conditions beyond the challenge as a trap to get your fee. I see it as a necessary way to filter out the truly unique talents out there. If you can outplay the challenge by planning every aspect of it and adapting your successful strategies in accordance AND revert back to what is possible consistently after the challenge, you are exceptional and really know what you are doing.



Reminds me of when super high-leverage happened, oh man, that effect killed some people, devastated families. Brokers portray themselves to be professional when they know, that beyond a certain risk, it is free money, and these poor people don't know.

So my opinion may be skewed due to the fact that I have passed challenge and verification and I'm trading a funded account. But here is the bottom line, the 92% that fail have only lost $600 to learn that trading may not be for them. The fact still remains that (they say 95%, I believe it to be lower ) of people fail within months of trading. Some of these folks probably throw thousands at this business before quitting. So he is saving people from FTMO and encouraging them to trade on their own? If they fail at FTMO, call me crazy, but why would they be successful trading on their own? Because they can lose more per day? Expose themselves to a massive weekend gap? Nah, I don't agree here.

The vast majority of strategies I have come across have so very high drawdowns (10%+)to make it profitable enough, that FTMO is just not doable, if that's all you have. So many strategy have excellent results for years, but to make a decent living with it(for some), you need to risk enough and that gets you the +10% drawdown guaranteed.

I believe this good guy above would've been much more persuasive if he focused on that aspect of it. Going from strategy to strategy and concretely showing us how it would all go down with the facts, month after month. That would've been really interesting actually, no ? It could even, through simple sharing of different perspective, help someone developing a new approach for himself, in order NOT to have that problem.

All and all, I cannot imagine, on the long term, someone making a decent living at FTMO, without having to have a diversified portfolio of strategies that are together combined and optimized and quickly adaptable to the changes of the markets, in accordance to these conditions.

But I still yell, if you believe you can do it and put the work in, focusing even more on probable failures than successes, checking all the boxes that could make this not work and finding the best solution for you, if this would be lifechanging for you :

It is not trading system or method that causes the DD.

it is the capital, unrealistic money target for that capital and money management.

most traders lack decent capital and 90% of them want to double that capital every week. I guess that is the underlying issue.

there is a huge difference in making 5K on the 100K account and 5K on the 10K account.
