You referring to a FUTURE or a CFD ( Seems like you refer to a CFD)?

I know with some CFD providers that have branches outside of Europe - IG for example ( Switzerland -(IG bank) -and Australia etc.)

Yes it is CFD ESME regulated European broker and 5% margin. Atm. 0,9 spread and no overnight fee - i can live with that. I also like that the only one emptying my account is me.
You cant beat the MM - so join them!!!

yes 5%, but only for so called "non-professional clients". most brokers i have seen also offer a "professional" account type with some higher leverage like 1:200 and no protection against your account balance going into the negative in some worst case scenario (anyone can chose the "professional" account types).
many also offer micro-cfds, meaning 0.1 cfd = 10 ct / dax point

Pro status means you have to satisfy two out of three requirements such as those shown by IG Index in the UK:

Am I eligible to be an IG professional client?
If you answer ‘yes’ to two or more of the following, you could be eligible to be classified as a professional trader.

  1. Has your trading averaged 10 significantly sized leverage transactions per quarter over the last 4 quarters?
  2. Do you have a financial instrument portfolio, including cash deposits, exceeding €500,000?
  3. Have you worked in the financial sector in a professional position, requiring knowledge of derivatives trading, for at least a year?

Many here would struggle to do so if the company asked for proof with any application you made for professional status.

I use to be over capitalized on my trading account and many days I use only a very small part of this account. I feel safer and relaxed this way.

For instance today only a couple FDXM margin account overnight were used (roughly 10k euro + something additonals not triggered) and then after I've closed FDXM positons, only a couple DAX CFDs overnight margin acocunt (roughly 2k euro).
Some years ago, a decade ago, I knew very well what are the consequences and the limit to be under capitalized on trading account.

Anyway most of my bullets are sleeping most of the time, but they must be always ready to be shot when it needs!!!!!!

Yes Brixen I know your every day trading is your bread and butter. I am still a full time slave of my work that pay my bills (and still happy with that!). So i am lucky to still being able to play arround with just one instrument. Working the S/D method have to involve more than one instrument to get severel daily high probertillity trades - if one not want to do stressfull scalping all day. Patience took me years to learn, but imho the most important in trading with the Big Boys.
You cant beat the MM - so join them!!!

Current week reminds me 14-18 Sept week.
Expiration option (futures) on friday, controlled and strict narrow range by usual suspects and a cleat target that they want and will get.
We humans have to follow the waves and try to be not trapped on some sudden market move.
