{quote} Make it simple. Use the daily charts: when price is uptrending, be long: when it is downtrending, be short. Put a stop where price now says a trend reversal is the probable next print. Size your position so that if the stop is hit this represents only a small fraction of your account. When price stops going up, close your long: when price stops going down, close your short. When your unrealised gain reaches +25%, close everything and take a week off.

In a situation where you realize that you have not won for a long time, the main thing is to stay calm. First of all, I advise you to take a micro pause and just analyze your mistakes, it is very important, because accepting and further correcting your mistakes will clearly improve your trading. Also, you should not be afraid to learn, many even professional traders are constantly reading additional literature, sharing their experience with each other and always admit that they have somewhere else to develop, you, in turn, can hire a personal trainer or consultant, who will surely help you become much better.

I'm still after it.
No longer making mental errors just working on a profitable system.
I thought I had it in the spring, but come to realize I think everyone made money then.
Been struggling with the range markets since then.

FX is a hedge with two good «companies». Start with stocks instead and follow the trend.

And thnx for your honesty

Problem with 99% of "traders" is that they just place a couple live or demo trades to say "ok/no" to a system and never backtest it in the long term. they just want to dream basically...

Problem with 99% of the traders is that they are not honest with themselfs. If they show a positive trackrecord to me it fine if not only bullish. Several people are really honest in that thread talking about their experiences, thank you form my side !, my desire really the BS people shut up ! (without a track record attached).
PS: in my opinion backtest is only soft test , for sure not the key of a TS development. Little better backtest+oos.

Fully agree. If I see 5 possible trades that might be nice, I will only really do 1 or 2(obviously the ones I feel most confident about).

Secondly: half your position size (or more) and double (or more) your SL. Many people think that Risk = Position size * SL. Mathematically yes, so you always have that risk.
But see it as Risk = Position size * SL * chance SL gets hit. That last factor is what will improve your results substantially.

Thsi is all that is mentioned about Seagal's Martial arts background, accomplishments and training on Wiki: _______________________________________________________ Martial arts Seagal moved to Japan at some point between 1971 and 1973. By 1974 he had returned to California. That year he met Miyako Fujitani, a second-degree black belt and daughter of an Osaka aikido master who had come to Los Angeles to teach aikido. When Miyako returned to Osaka, Seagal went with her. The following year they married and had a son, Kentaro, and a daughter, Ayako....

should check the size and the pounds too I have feeling Van Damme against Seagal is like a year 5 boy against a high school student. look at the TV clips where he trained with the police academy. Policemen were usually no tiny boys, but standing next to him he can hug them like a bear hug a human, that sometimes gives you some advantage if your hand that size of the face of your opponents, and some good weight to when you just swing them around using year-one basic judo technique

Don't give up! Keep practicing.

Squeeze in more practice time by manually backtesting your strategies in various market conditions.

try to find a personal mentor that will help you, I dont think that would be very difficult even if you can get short burst each time.

yea, what does the universe want me to know. Is it telling me keep going it will come? or is it telling me, Forex is fake. or is it telling me you won't ever get it? these questions have been going through me head for the last 8 years. I've had two different coaches. Felt that "it was the system" the first time. And now i'm facing that same feeling right about the same time. I don't think it is the system though. I'm missing something. Second part of this year I feel like anyone flipping a coin would have better results. So I start listening to...

You probably want to trade on higher time frames and go for swing trades. Easier to find setups that are forgiving when you are learning how to read charts.
