My personal turning point was when I realised my most consistent trading happened when I was most chilled i.e. my internal environment was the most important factor in my trading stategy.

So you take trades if it fits your criteria even if it looks like it won't work out ? - If so, that's what I have been doing lately but deliberately missed a couple which would've worked out!

the turning point was when i met an experienced trader, that night he opened me the world of successful trading, shared tools and strategies. at that moment all my trades were lost, i did not understand what i wanted, i was nervous and lost money. two years ago everything changed.

Mine was when I decided to accept 50-60 pips as success instead of chasing the dragon and trying to capture the whole move. Always have a stop in place because even if you get stopped out close to the top/bottom you were wrong....plus can always go back in.

Mindset certainly is key for me.

Yes I trade mechanically and only when I haven't got lots of other stuff going on in my life.

I have not had a turning point for 14 years...

My friend's turning point was committing suicide after 8 years' of unsuccessful trading and losing everything in excess of $400,000... (of which 50% was from loan sharks and mobsters).

I am not where I want to be yet. Success is a journey...

But,

The biggest improvements in my trading thus far came after:

1. I got rid of all indicators and focused on price action on naked charts.

2. focused on trading only higher time frames.

3. focused on trading only 1 to 2 pairs at a time.
Give the market little, Aim to take a lot!

I only started trading in Feb 2020, Already I am consistent and profitable, tbh I cannot believe it!

I did go through months of blowing accounts.

My turning point was when I finally understood price action, combined with trendlines, and using a higher timeframe bias, it seems to work perfect for me. I'm currently nearly passed my first ever 10k FTMO challenge too. I got 9.3% in just 6 days which I am delighted about!

I'm not sure what clicked but it just eventually did! After spending every single hour throughout lockdown studying, reading charts, being confused!

Now I have around a 65% win rate with a positive RRR

Also what has contributed to my trading success in the last couple of months has been , being very prepared.

Every single night and every Sunday without fail, I sit down for a few hours and go through every pair and my favourite pairs to mark up the charts, from the top timeframe down, and i put together my watchlist.

Lately i trade mainly gbp pairs and some eur pairs. also some gold.

being organised is half the battle, and being confident in your analysis along with a higher timeframe bias of course!

It was when I realized I didn't have to be right all the time, and started to review trade by trade every weekend
