I was up $4K for the day (all open and floating), I closed my profitable trades of $11K and left the floating losses(7K) open. Was actually on vacation and forgot to close the floating losses. I immediately violated at 6 pm eastern as I rolled those losses into next day. I now close everything or keep very small trades open going into that daily reset.

I have tried logging in with new server to no avail. However, I can still access and trade on old server.

Just went into client area, top of page states:

Due to unexpected technical difficulties, we were not able to migrate to the new server. We kindly ask you to resume trading on the current server "FFTraderSRO-Demo. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I cant login either, my old server was cmc europe btw, dont know if this affects anything, cant login any of them

Re Login - difficulty login old server

My actions as a coder and experienced user

1. Closed the MT4 Terminal

2. Deleted these Logs files - they will be re-created when the terminal is restarted
Note: the Logs files will not delete if the terminal is open - close the terminal

below Logs file -> Refer MQL4 folder - delete the log file

3. Refer Config folder -> deleted the contents of the Server.ini file (the file will open in Notepad) and saved the file as empty of content. (below image (or may appear similar) is the updated file content after restarting the terminal)

4. Restarted MT4 terminal

5. Re-scanned the relevant server -> File >> Open an Account (for future reference - for when it becomes operational - if FTMO-Server is not automatically included it can be added manually by typing in, then highlight, then Scan)

6. Re-entered Login details - all good, up and running.

Will it work for you - who knows ?

Thanks for the help, I never used MT4 on a computer before, I am trying to scan for the server but nothing comes up?

No other suggestion other than re-run the original install file - if still on the computer (usually downloaded to the download folder).

Blistering barnacles.... You are right! (I forgot that I did read about it). Sorry to hear about that mishap, when you were actually up 4k and you had to learn the hard way, which is why I am researching this as much as possible.

IF... there was such a thing as 10% DD (even the way I outlined in my previous post), you would not have been disqualified. I guess the mystery remains as to what FTMO meant by that statement on their site.

Anyway, I am over it. It's crystal clear that the MDL limit is 5% (non-aggressive) and that statement on their site is just... unintentionally wrongly worded. They are referring to the Max overall loss as 10% drawdown buffer.

Realistically speaking, most of us would not let.... or even dream of letting a real personal 100k account go into even 2% DD (at least initially when building up), so as long as traders keep their risks reasonable and keep in mind the limit rules, they should be fine.

You should ask them directly on their website for a quicker response, but its a good post here, too. If you read his website, he is just funding the challenge fee at a discount for people that don't have the full amount. In exchange, the 70% that FTMO would pay out, that 70% is split 80/20 between him and the person he funded. If it was a direct relationship with FTMO, FTMO would just pay him and them separately/directly. He probably broke the rules and isn't a trader with them anymore.

Reality is if you don't even have 100$ to pay FTMO directly for the challenge, you probably aren't a real trader and won't pass. Which means he's just found a way to piggy back on FTMO to collect money from failed challenges.
The best strategy is a profitable one.

The job with these guy is that he offers seed acounts for wich you pay 66$ and he ofers you 10 K account so if you pass the evaluation with profits you have to buy more 50 to 100 K account you never cant make money with him FTMO is more relaible...

Personally I wouldn't even bother.

Just save up and pay the fee yourself.

Keep a watch out for hidden agendas and the potential added risk involved.

Due diligence required.
