Will you be using a trade copier to replicate trades on the 2 other accounts?

Goodluck! cTrader has cMirror and cTrader Copy. I tried to create demo accounts with
a) purpletrading - not allowed to copy or provide signals
and
b) axiory (before the update they allow us to use this broker for ctrader) - allows to copy only free strategies or provide strategies via cTrader Copy.

Can you please let us know if cMirror or CopyTrade is allowed for FTMO's cTrader? I have my live account with ICMarkets and would like to trade that account while my FTMO accounts are copying. Thanks!

Fantastic! My advice, fwiw, would be to trade all three accounts the same (via a trade copier if you can). You’ll have seen how I struggled getting all three over the line and how Swing4Fence (who’s trading results have been simply amazing!) also struggled to get his third account over the line.

All the very best, whatever you decide, but just wanted to give you my experience.

If you happen to violate any of the Trading Objectives, that particular account will be automatically invalidated and loses the eligibility to be funded by the FTMO Proprietary Trading firm. You can always try again from scratch and order a brand new FTMO Challenge if you wish to become our FTMO Trader. Please note we don’t provide any discounts for repetitions. If you violate the Trading Objectives, your initial fee paid for the FTMO Challenge is forfeited so be sure to stay safe and respect the rules.
There is, however, one exception. If you manage NOT to violate any of the Trading Objectives (regardless of whether that is the FTMO Challenge or Verification) and your final account profit being positive at the end of the trading duration, with all positions being closed, you can request a new FTMO Challenge free of charge. We know that sometimes the market conditions are not in trader’s favour and we appreciate your good trading and ability to manage risk properly.

This is good too.
Intraday only.

Does last paragraph mean, as long as we're successfully achieving goals, we're able to pick new challenges every time for free? (up to limit, of course).

as long as you are able to control losses it is fine for them even if you do not make 10 % profit.

On request they will give another challenge for free

Cheers mate! And yes amen. Getting that 3rd account across the finish line was extremely difficult, while juggling all 3 accounts. Trade copier is the way to go... I guess I’m too much of a control freak when it comes to trading.

After extensive reading of FTMO site and relevant FF posts, just when I thought I had MDL (Max Daily Loss) all figured out... I still have one confusion regarding daily drawdown limit.

Before I get to the source of that confusion... let me state what I do understand clearly (I will use 100k as an example):

1) Max Overall Loss is 10% of initial capital + any profit (if any). In other words, account cannot go below 90k under no circumstance.

2) Max Daily Loss is 5% of 100k. However, it can increase.......IF....trader starts the day with closed profits say $500, then MDL is increased to $5,500... but for that day only. It resets to 5k the next day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

My understanding was that... regardless of whether I close my losing trades or not, if floating loss (or closed losing trades for that matter) is greater than 5k by even a cent or so, it will disqualify a challenge/verification or close a funded account immediately.

Now, here is the source of my confusion. It is on FTMO site: Here is the direct link

Drawdown by definition is also called floating loss. You cant have DD after you close trades. If the above FTMO DD rule is true, it appears to be stating that a trade(s) could potentially be in 10% temporary DD before closing it with a profit (or a closed loss that has to be less than 5k).

Here is the problem... the lowest point in floating loss/DD that the account would have reached, would be say 9%.......... and if point 2 above is correct, that counts as a violation.
-----------------------------------------

I am guessing my overall understanding is correct about MDL. The FTMO site statement might be a typo or just worded incorrectly. I think it is still referring to the 10% Max Loss as a 10% Drawdown buffer and with MDL still at 5%.

MDL is very important to be clear about because it is the number 1 reason (from what I read and saw) for most failures and account closures, since it can be easily breached even with a few lots on a bad day.

My question to FTMO (or anyone here with confirmed knowledge about this): Is the MDL aka daily floating loss aka drawdown during open trades..... all one and the same thing and therefore fixed at 5%?

Not really. I understand that it is based on open positions. That I get.

My question is... what's really the actual limit for MDL percentage wise? Is it 5% (+ any initial profits for the day) or...... are we really allowed to have 10% drawdown buffer like it says on their site.

Assume that you got 100k account and your account balance is 105k (5k you earned as a profit). Now you can go down to 99750 to violate rule and lose challenge (5% of 105.000). I'm also not sure about general 10% drawdown (if we can go all the way down to 90k, or like daily loss, drawdown involves our profits), and also not really interested about it, because I'll never going to hit that loss limit, use good system, not so wide SL and not agressive risk%.
