After challenge and verification, no profit goal, but risk parameters remain. To get scaled up, you need 10% over 4 months, with at least 2 of those months being net positive.

I did not know that FTMO scales up....

25% every 4 months, used to cap at 600K, now no limit. If you're skilled, this will literally change your life.

Mate, can you share please, what was your average lot size while trading with 100k capital? When I calculate my lot size, it ends up with absurd size while keeping SL tight.

I find it difficult to make 10% on any account especially with the strict money management laws, how do you guys do it, please explain in details.

Personally, I break my positions into 5 trades. When overall position goes in my favor, I stack more trades and move the ones in profit to a break even or very small loss. If position goes against me, I only have 1/5 the size initially so very small loss. So if I'm risking 1% per position, each trade is only .2%. This is the way I trade my personal accounts as well. The whole game is about risk management. If you practice good money management, you really don't even need to be that skilled of a trader. On the other hand, very skilled traders blow accounts because they don't understand money management.

It is not easy and it should not be. More than 80% of retail traders already lose money naturally. This whole business is designed so that more than 95% of people fail and their registration fees serve to pay the winners and still generate profits for the company.
You need to know all the company rules very well and adapt your trading strategy to them.

My point is they should not ask for 10 % growth in 30 days it should be around 3 to 5 percent growth which is still good.

If you don't like FTMOs limit on time restraints there are other firms out there who have longer time limits to hit a profit target, you are not limited to FTMO only.

They want reliable traders. Then if you can pass their challenge they have many chances get a long term profitable trader. They will earn more with their traders than making challenges if they can get a good group of traders

I want to take 100000 real challenge but I am not comfortable with making 10k in 30 days. hope they decrease the target for first phase.
10% in 30 days is an unrealistic target.

I don't focus on the lotsize, I pay attention to the 0.45/0.9% risk I'm taking per trade, I calculate the lotsize via tradingview, you can try to use their long/short position measurement tool. So the lotsize varies when you adjust your SL price.

I agree on this, it's hard, because we don't know when we will hit that 30+ loosing trades. or even a 1 win 3 loss daily trades. It's hard passing the challenge stage than verification. For verification, the profit target is 5% and the trading days is 60, same rules for risk.
I guess to answer your question .... 1) use your most comfortable strategy and 2) wait for market conditions favorable to your strategy.
Goal should be 1) be net positive by end of the challenge 2) not hit the daily/max dd.
I know, easier said than done, but that's forex.

Yo Swing, you are killing it! almost 10% in 1 week and small dd! is your funded demo account being refreshed every month? ie. after this month and after you get your split, they give you another account to trade for next month? How long does it take for them to send you the details of account for next month?

Things are relative. If something is difficult for one person but not for others then maybe problem is not challenge itself. I don't see target 10% hard itself. It's harder due you can't pass a daily limit but still are reasonable rules.

If you don't feel comfortable using your actual strategy maybe is smarter change it and take your time until you find one fits with your style and allow you accomplish rules without any problem
