Yes it is that simple. Before the fall of the Berlin Wall, each side of Berlin had its club and it made no sense to be a fan of the other club. In West Berlin, where I come from, there were other clubs too, but Hertha was/is the biggest.
And why doesn't Hertha play for the title? Too much chaos in management in recent years. They played consistently in midfield with Pal Dardai, but that wasn't enough for manager Preetz ... So chaos again.
I haven't seen the series yet (I'm not a fan of series), but I'll watch it when I get the chance.
It could be worse.

Little newsflow today, but 8am tomorrow the UK reports CPI, PPi & RPI. The FTSE and DAX will come to life properly after then. This afternoon no news out of the US too.

FTSE topped out earlier than normal today. DAX is near it's daily Pivot, but FTSE is nowhere near its Pivot. FTSE will drag DAX further down.

Yesterday's range in Dax was 120 pts - that's 100 pts under its 5D ADR.

Today, already the range is 210 pts for Dax

A fake-out down to the 12,800 area was followed by a strong rally up above the 13,000 BRN

Nas has already made another new ATH and the S&P is testing its ATH from February

The US Session should be interesting....

One of best August on last Years/decade so far. Even After Saudi funds went out from big US Giants shares.....Always a Surpris here and Better do not think too much.
How Is going on there Islander,cause tourists coming back from Spain are treated as terrorists......I can't understand this irrational reaction

Berlin must have a strong team in Germany and in Europe. Leipzig has no history and It Will play semifinal CL,thanks to sponsor.
I Like only historical series,and Babylon Berlin Is so perfect in historical details.

I did preface my post by saying it was early. I took a small loss. Isee small losers as aborted takeoffs for an aircraft that would otherwise crash.

In my experience in the half an hour before closing the DAX does its own thing. Then the next half hour it again follows the FTSE until it closes.

The DAX is not that a powerful index. It must be kept in mind that the German Borse is only the 13th largest stock exchange. The LSE is the 4th largest. There are 3 Chinese and 2 Indian exchanges that are larger than the German Borse by market cap.

Hard to say.. tbh, but in terms of volume DAX it's not below FTSE100 for what i know...
Is there any spcific reason FTSE would lead in the morning?
I like to checl DAX vs EU Stoxx 50 when chekc if level are holding or breacking
Below it's overlay chart with Dax/Stoxx(amber line)/FTSE (blue line)

Interesting comments and something that I will look at on M 1 charts to see if I can find an edge.

I would comment that Dax's range so far today is 252 pts = 1.95% vs FTSE 104 pts = 1.70%

I try not to go "off piste" here in Brixen's Dax thread, so FTSE charts etc will be elsewhere

if this is an usually behaviour I'm with you, if this is only a random or occasionally behaviour I guess it's not useful for me, for us....

but as I previously wrote, I like to check by myself potential new suggestions and I will check carefully what you wrote, before talking about it again.

Let me be frank, as usual: this old story of bigger stock exchange, or biggest futures markets or big volumes or whatever it is absolutely not important for me.
DAX Futures and DAX CASH INDEX cfds are so liquid and so volatile, specially 9CET - 17:30 CET that even on XMAS or on AUgust I filled my orders whenever I wish.
And I don't care if Indian or Chines markets are becoming bigger or more important then Germany Index.
So this is only a stat for Big Funds or Big Capitals, not for me as a small fish in the Ocean.

And DAX/FDAX/FDXM are enough to erase or destroy every trading account, even billionaires trading acocunt in less time than every person may think.
My apologizes if I have been rough, Maverick, but it was only to explain my idea by 2 sentences.

EURUSD too high is a sensational brake for German exporters.........not good approaching 1,20!!
And Madame Lagarde is for sure on holiday these days......bureaucrats always like "La Dolce Vita" as showed by pic below.....

Ciao Brixen, i told i'm newbie to DAX but i also i wrote i'm been trading FX for some goood amout of time but never able to become consistent winner... all i won.. i gave it back and more..
Restart trading during lockdown and since future don't look good.... i must become winner this time
