Anyone successfully traded when unwell for long periods? High temprature, headaches, stomach aches etc

Guess its sensible not to but some people got to earn no matter what to pay for break and milk.

Trading is a stressful activity. It itself takes up a lot of effort and requires a lot of concentration, patience and discipline. But sometimes the trading process is further complicated by external factors. For example, weather conditions, especially in the high summer season. I also think it is quite problematic to stay cool and focused when the brain is melting from the heat.
To keep cool in the heat, the trader needs to accept the fact that external circumstances will affect him. So, such a period isn't the time to increase the trading intensity and duration of the working day. It would be a reasonable decision even to reduce its duration, sacrificing amount for the sake of quality. After all, it is known that a tired trader, who isn't feeling well, is more inclined to emotional decisions and random trades. As a result, by refusing to give up an hour or two of his time, a trader can suffer serious losses.
It may be worth allowing yourself to take more breaks and not feel guilty about it. If the trader feels guilty for taking a break, he should think about whether his guidelines are correct and whether he falls into a psychological trap. Again, it should be remembered that although earning money on the Internet, in particular on the exchange, is the main purpose of trading, it shouldn't overshadow health care and common sense.

I think there's nothing wrong with missing a couple of trading days if you understand that you can't do a good job because it's likely to lead to losses, because you can't react quickly and make quick, right decisions. And that's not a good decision. On the other hand, you can just stay with what you already have - and I think that's something better, that's what you need.
I know you think something important is going to happen these days that you haven't got the income you need, etc. But let's be honest, do you get a stable, fixed income every day? I don't think so. So you shouldn't create yourself any additional problems - there's nothing good in it.

You're correct, as are the other's who've commented. It is sensible not to. Trading when unwell is more likely to result in unnecessary losses. Better to focus on getting well and to trade during periods when you're feeling better.

No, if I'm not feeling great I don't trade at all. That includes general grumpiness, irritability or feeling pooey as well as proper illnesses. I'm sure some can trade just as well whether they are ill or not but I can't trust my judgement so I stay flat.

Also, I have in the past underestimated the stress trading places on my physical and mental health; even simple and non-time-consuming strategies cause a lot of stress under the surface so taking breaks are really important for me.

I have found trading to be a wonderful distraction to my long term illness.I am only looking for beer money thankfully and trading small so no pressure, but the challenge of winning in an everchanging market is stimulating to me.My trading results have improved significantly as well by learning how the market moves, thanks to George,so if it causes you no pain, hang in there. God Bless.

Without stirring the pot, if you have a LONG TERM illness it is so important to keep your mental attitude right, so trading might help you as it has me.

It is the best topic. Fx is a highly- level business. It requires traders to follow risk management which includes every emotional risk (ER) mitigated. As you provide many ways to reduce ER such as :taking mediation, keeping daily healthy, trading mood, stop trading at the right time; usually withdrawing to enjoy the fruit gained... thanks all to the topic creator and participants!

Give yourself a break, your better to concentrate for an hour and do a few good trades then you are to try and trade all day and make silly mistakes. Our attention span is weaker when we are not ourselves. Don't be too hard on yourself, it's better to make a small amount on fewer trades then it is to lose larger amounts due to easy mistakes.

One shouldn't be stressful and should be feeling happy to trade not at all to be in desperation. I'm not perfect, but at all cost, i trade is because I'm happy and it's my life hobby to trade which means whenever I'm happy to engage in my hobby, I'll do it. Even if unwell but happy to do it without obligation just do it to make yourself feel happy. Just a humble two cents from the little JRockMax.

Taking a break is easier said than done when you know you’re losing and you just can’t keep your eyes off your system, it’s a catch 22 situation, and the profits behave like ‘catch me if you can

Yes, those who have an automated system can afford to pause while the robot is participating in trading.
Well, as for me, I have a trading plan that is completed in advance, before trading. If I feel not confident, but I have a trading plan, then all I have to do is follow my instructions, which I defined earlier, and just trust the trading system.

It is very important to have a good profitable and tested trading system before hand.
And very specific entry/exit rules, SL:TP ratio, max drawdown you can face per day/week, your % balance you can risk or a fixed lotsize.

If you have that and rules are fixed, you could hire a good freelancer to make a scanner for your strategy.

I always use signals from dashboards. Then it's just a matter of time waiting for signals on my phone.
I have been sick and continued trading. Because if a system is in place, then just studying a chart manually real quick does not need much effort.
And it really is ok to miss a few trades. With a good system there will be plenty more

I can't trade even if I'm hungry. Willpower and the fulfillment of my duties are absolutely not about me, especially if I feel discomfort.

This is why they say that forex trading can be addictive. It is better to build a schedule and stick to it. Follow a proper plan because you have a life to live. If you keep trading every time, the profits won’t be of any use. Take breaks when you are unwell and sometimes without any reason also! You must focus on remaining in the market for long.

I rarely get sick. But when I get sick, it is usually associated with a rather difficult state of health. At such events, I prefer to postpone everything and just go through this period with the least loss.

Oh it's hard to say is it bad to trade when you're sick. If you're feeling really bad, maybe yes it's better to relax.
But if it's only cough or sore throat. It's not a reason for me don't trade.
