i almost smoked the account .. allowed daily loss of $500 and i lost $489.80

..been there too, Ras, a couple of times during the stages - tomorrow's another day and wd for sticking to your daily loss limit.

Jumped on a nice trade after that initial drop and took +26 ticks. Totally ticked that I didn't take the next set up. Oh well, no time machines here so I just have to embrace the suck. LOL!

thanks Eye appreciate the encouragement .. interestingly system wouldn't actually put any more trades on .. maybe automatic lock out if you're close to daily loss limit

thx - took it easy with 1 contract (emini) and cleared 70T in the first 30 minutes, then went down to micro (2 contracts) and netted a bit more but felt myself slipping into overtrade, so called it a day just before the end of the 1st hr.

Using a rickety laptop atm and posting charts isn't as straight forward as i'd like it to be, will post stats later - looking forward to upgrading if i can keep the profits up

Thank you for your honesty Ras, it is good to be realistic. I'm just pacing myself, it is slow progress but the idea of completely blowing up is a pain I can't bear, hence the caution. If its a flat month, then it is a flat month. Seems to me taking the rough with the smooth is something that cannot be underestimated. Consistency is all.

My biggest mistake on days like today is telling myself "It can't go any higher". LOL! NQ just responds back by saying "Hold my beer!"

Don't let it get you down. Take a deep breath and then go back and figure out what went wrong. Internalize it, then come back stronger. Remember what got you to the funded account in the first place.

Not a super productive day for me either..... +9 ticks total... take away the commissions and I think I made $0.11 on the day. LOL!

..thankfully not, Ras - hit my daily loss limit, rather than the max loss limit..so alive for tomorrow and busy replaying to try and drum today's lessons into my skull

Today started out crappy.... turned sh**ty, then a cesspool, then I fell in with my mouth open..... LOL! No not really that bad. -30 on the day. Oh well, if they were all winners anyone could do it.
