I'm in Thailand, but got US brokers account. I guess many banks in Europe should have direct links to Eurex for trading? Need to dig into this more.

eurex sets the margins. brokers have lower intraday margins to be competitive, but it seems they don't want to take the risk overnight. the few European, german Brokers I know also have ca. 10k overnight margin.
edit: with "direct links" you mean that you're orders are not routed over the broker's server but directly to eurex?

These are not the football origins, for me.
They call Florence football, but only because it started in Firenze 1500, let's say after Lorenzo the Magnificient, il Magnifico, era or after Leonardo Fibonacci era for we human traders.......
Imho is more rugby oriented and sometimes or better say often connected to a boxe match!!!!

Anyway if you have a chance, look at this recent Series. It's about the birth of FA CUP in England, the 1st real football competition in the world.
Fantastic episodes, real dive in late 1800 history.

If I should trade during the night in Europe, I surely will trade CME US Futures, and I 'd avoid European futures. We need liquidity, low spreads and continous services every minute during our job.

587 reduced from 2 to 1 my positions just before US official open.

Thank you, actually morning in Europe is afternoon in Thailand, so trading Dax is perfect, unlike morning in US that's falling on 8-9 PM here.

Yes, I guess DAX is perfect in Asia if you wish to have the whole morning free.........5 hours more Bangkok time compared to CET, I guess.

20 pips range 1st 30 US min....probably it's record.
I remember 20 february this year, same hours.......look at the chart to see what explosion happened after!!!!

OK, as I previously wrote, just placed stop at breakeven 555 and target 655 (+100) after the break up 600 zone...I hope it's not a false break up.

Delted all other orders.
I'll back for European Indices close 17:30 CET...my son make me work as a mule this morning under 35° degress hot sun, so I need a pause.

Thank you for the info. I guess "direct link" is direct access to Eurex terminal(orders routing). Regarding the overnight margins, if it was 2-4K USD not a big deal, but with 12K per FDXM its not really practical to trade it, unless using tight stops, and thats not an easy task with volatility as of now.

Probably today down revision EU growth was the excuse to push down European Indices....toorrow they'll find another excuse to push up or down the markets!

I have an alert at 550 zone and at 630/650 zone.

I'll back later. There's nothing to trade now, imho.

Last chart for today, DAX FUTURES trapped for hours and hours in a strict narrow range, that's the worst market phase for a trader, I guess.

Done my day:+38+25=TOTAL +73 pips FDXM
and+15+20,5+35,5+10,5+18,5+30,5+34,5+39,5+43,5+31,5=TOTAL +279,5 pips DAX CFDs (=+56 pips FDXM).

So final total for today:+73+56=TOTAL +129 pips FDXM.
I hold 1DAX CFD 555,5 with stop profit at 596 and target at 646 until tonight 22 CET.

I hope tomorrow volatility will increase otherwise I better go to work with my son, under the hot sun.....
