Are you still testing this strategy for GBP/USD?

My aim is to get about 4/5 pairs which work well like this.

For GBP/USD I will see what the results are at the end of May, then I may start trading it with real money

to be honest, this one is not so simple..
I did several back test, and seems the time filter is needed to filter the biased result

What did you do and what did you get? This is based on a 1 hour timeframe so if your adding in time filter you are making it different

There was a trade taken on June 23. If we use sl 50 pips and tp 100 pips, the trade ended in profit.
Gambling = 0% skill, 100% luck. Trading = 1% skill, 99% luck.

This trade is actually a lost, the strategy on this one is slightly different to the AUD/USD pair you follow. This one we trade the same way as the Aroon up down not opposite

I have not been keeping up with this strategy as i have been focused on my other ones and also trying out some other pairs.

Backtesting MA averages strategy is way to hell.I wouldn't get much excited about it. MA is lagging indicator,so backtesting looks pretty promising but real trades looks different.
In real trading you will get fake signals you wont see in becktesting.

Hi akamrp,
Weldone for your strategies on both G/U and A/U, the A/U strat works really well and I have noticed that it works equally well on G/U after eyeballing the chart and G/U moves more than A/U by far so you will get more pips from there.
I think you should consider using the A/U strat for G/U also.

If not, why not increase the SL on this current G/U strat to say about 50pips as 25pips is far too small for G/U. If you take note, many of the A/U trades survive and turn to profit bcos u are generous with the SL of 150pips.

PS: See the signal the A/U strat gave on G/U on Friday which is now in profit over 60pips

I have tried increasing SL but the results have not been worth it. I have not tried making the SL larger than the TP yet though.

Yes there was a trade on friday, lets see what happens
