You could be happy, if it was that EASY. Most of the contracts shown are pure SPOT contracts, NO INDICATION about futures at all.

ADDITIONALLY FTMO is the "owner" of the broker account, so the "equipement" of the account is to the full discretion of FTMO. Logically
there won't be more contracts in a FTMO account, but there could be always less. Especially considering brokers on this list like Blackwell, offering
perhaps 40 fx crosses, 10 index cfds and 4 to 5 commodities, and that all on SPOT.

Everybody knows that CMC prides itself to offer 9300+ instruments. But nobody knows what you find in a FTMO-CMC account.

I am being kind man, people are lazy to look up, I for one, love to trade futures but not avail with FTMO.

Yep - the Lmax spread on Gold is acceptable although it never seems to float in the trader's favour!

Other spreads are about the worst I've seen so far in the market.

Well I'm afraid I blew my account. Of course I'm not blaming FTMO for that however I do think that the two stage process is long winded and difficult as many are finding out! If I do try again I will go with their main competitor (who I will not name for fear of getting stomped on again) who offer a 100k challenge for a much more reasonable price, offer a one stage verification, and offer much higher loss limits.

The daily loss limit is the main pitfall for sure and the main cause of people losing their hard earned money. Because even if one is not hitting it, one can become terrified to over-leverage in case one does. And you have to remember that this is a problem that is going to be with you FOREVER!

I would love to know the actual statistics of the ratio between those who succeed and those who fail. Wouldn't be surprised if it reflects the normal FX situation - 90 - 95% ??

Seems the trick is finding a program/company that best aligns with trading style (which it sounds like you may have found it)
Deeply feel the primary reason I’ve been successful with Ftmo, is due to my system already mirroring what they want: DD, Max Loss etc. The stopwatch is what had my head spinning in Challenge & Verification.

I think the FTMO crew mentioned that about 8% make it through but that doesn't tell anywhere near the whole story such as of those that do make it what is the average holding time of a funded account.

More statistics are needed in this space but unlikely to be provided any time soon.

My perspective is that the vast majority fail and of the successful ones only a very few hold onto the funded account for more than 6 months.

In fact I am yet to hear of a trader holding onto the original funded account more than just a few months.

Otaka actually covers this in one of the interview. Only about 8% succeed.

Seems the 8% (that post online) are making pretty good money. I imagine within the 8% those that have been with Ftmo 1yr+ are making big money, if they leverage scaling plan. This guy posted his last 2 withdrawals, but these are in line with 100-200k if at 10% monthly:

I've been following this guy on IG well before he started with FTMO i believe he's pretty legit, really only exclusively trades indices due to the volatility and quick cash (if you know what your doing)

I checked his results. Yes looks legit. But I don't see any updates since April. Is he still going strong?

Does show what is possible I suppose! Noticed that some of his trades were quite high leverage. One for 6 lots which on SP500 would very quickly result in a couple of grand or more as long as one is trading in the right direction!

i believe he is still going, but been tied up with moving into new house. But will follow to see how he gets on.

Max 300k. See SKLearn’s response. If one live account breaks rules, there is a backup to replace. I’ve heard others decline the challenge refund on 1st initial payout, for the purpose of purchasing another challenge to have as a backup in case of failure (correct me if wrong, but I understand unlimited challenges purchased/passed are allowed - which seems to be a smart Plan B). However, I wonder how a failed account would impact overall scaling progress? My assumption is each account treated individually, which may present risk combining to 300k. Combining is still my plan, as easier to manage.
