Time & Sales based trading

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody trades based on some indicators and then enters watching Time & sales?

And how to use time and sales to your own benefit.

sorry, but what exactly do you mean by "time and sales"?

In the FX world an access to T&S is restricted or doesn't exist.

Interdealer like EBS,Reuters,CX don't allow or share T&S information.
But the market depth is visible.

Only banks and brokers have T&S ("orderflow") information about their clients.

If you want to see the tape, futures would be the right place.

ThinkorSwim shows time and sales for forex. Although I think its only for there brokerage. It would be nice to see time and sales for more than one brokerage in one program....

Hi All, I have a question regarding the core difference in stock/ equities trading and Fx trading when it comes to reading the tape (using T&S) etc....
I have some experience in trading cfds and since a few months stocks.

Fx is not traded on one exchange like for example AAPL but OTC traded.

So how do I get insights of the orders getting through or how many transactions are closed (the speed of transaction etc etc) ?

Could someone help me?

Reconstructed Time & Sales really useful. But I mentioned that platforms have different approach about its calculation (aggregsation). For example, some platforms aggregate by price and trade direction only, but others have more complex approach and aggregate trades by the tape speed.

T&S is vital for trade confirmation

I just started reading T&S, and now Im really sure of why I was loosing money before, the best indicator if you know how to use it, and of course, the reason why I probably will not longer trade forex, only futures until i find something like that in forex.
Dude, im just playing with the T&S and im making money, I only imagine what will happen when i master it. But its really very discretionary, a lot of different interpretations can come from reading the tape, you really need a lot of screen time and backtesting with a plattaform that allow you to replay the time and sales.
You really need to practice a lot if you want that skill of reading the tape. Its like a sport, put in t work and go get it. VP
