I'm going short right now pre-open, hopefully I won't regret it! What's your take? I figure we are inching up to big R on the 30 min chart and I expect at least a temporary reject up here. Tippy toppy and any negative news or unexpected can rock it down.

This is usually true I still scalp a lot, but definitely more prep as I am on a small account right now trying to challenge myself to exponentially run it up 500%.
Waiting for a VWAP test is nice too.

Update: Started at $100, now at something close to $800. Almost blew it up last night as I was trapped in a long at a less favorable price but I held thru the drawdown since it's a small account, make it break it baby!

Hit my 2.5 % loss limits for the day earlier today, not a great start jumping the gun. Will have to wait for tmrw.

Good returns as you have it, slow down and accelerate play with leverage until you find the rhythm.

Well today kinda sucked. I traded well, came out in the green nicely, but I wasn't aggressive enough to add to my long around lunch hour. I watched the buying ramp up and just stayed in my long without adding to it. Oh well. It was really easy though lol.

Tiny account challenge balance is now at around $900'ish but there was a lot of back n' forth to gain even $100.

What I hope to gain out of this is to trade better entries, trade less, being more patient at times, and leverage higher when it really counts. I avoid too many stop-outs as that can be death by 1000 cuts, so it's not always easy knowing when I need to manually stop out or not.

This is a lot less emotional than my usual trading, because this is 100% house money, but I'm still trying to suppress fear at times.
I've been really tired the past week so I plan to get extra sleep and trade my normal session tomorrow.
When I am tired, I am not leveraged at all, safest thing to do.

If I can hit somewhere around $2k to $5k on this "challenge" then I can really get crazy!
There's no way I could do this on my normal account, I'd go into cardiac arrest LOL.

This was today's chart. I marked with arrows around 13:00 when my market buy volume was being hit. Around 46 contracts were bought, and several other chunks of 20-30 lots in single transactions. It was rather sneaky and I had my doubts about it until the breakout of 25,500+

I was pleasantly surprised as I thought the rally was failed by then.

Purple line is the VWAP. I have the VWAP on since there are execution algos that will sometimes start buying if they have a big order to move, they will break it up into smaller orders and execute when price is at or below VWAP. So it's helpful to at least use it for context within orderflow analysis.

Situational awareness+ self awareness both need to be in top notch, i failed on both this week.

It's good you can see your own flaw. You'll come back from it.

I did something silly...Went long from 3am, very small position, no stop loss lol. Only survived because position is tiny. Well it eventually came into profit by the time I got up for US session.

Now I am carefully scalping longs up here near the VWAP. gotta see orderflow confirm this trade. The bounce ON the VWAP happened, but now I want to see follow thru, so I'm trading very small. I'm trying to play these trades out slower instead of my insane high-speed scalping that I usually do.

Up over $100 from small trading though, so volatility is ramped up it feels like. Account is around $1,000ish.

At the moment right now, the transactions of 20+ contracts are mostly buying, and I believe they are passive/at limit buying since delta is negative still. So at some point this will turn, but maybe not right away. A good day to buy small, slowly, carefully, and stalk the order flow.
Feels like short covering from earlier and/or a mixture of some bigger traders who are buying the dips to build up a bigger position without squeezing the price up too fast.
