Making a deposit...

Could anyone here explain how do you make a wire transfers from your country. I want to hear examples from different counties. I live in Serbia and I can't make a wire to any broker. I wanted to open account with oanda but I can't deposit. So, how do you make a deposit? Do you have any problems with your bank when tying to a make a wire?...

I am from Romania, I too use Oanda and I deposited my money through wire transfer without any problems at all. The best thing you can do is speak live with somebody from Oanda support and ask for options.

I signed up with these guys a couple weeks ago: http://www.bpsaccount.com/. I did it to try and save money on depositing funds to an account. They have relationships with lots of brokers. It's usually free to deposit. I don't have any relationship with the company and I haven't conducted a transaction yet, but, it might be something worth looking into.

the Netherlands: I made copies of all those numbers and names and adresses OANDA provides in their explanation. I went to my bank, and showed them my papers. I asked them how to transfer some of my money to that bank. They were very friendly and did what I asked.

The law in Serbia is pretty much strict when it comes to sending money out of the country. I know about few options. I can go to a neighbored country and send money from there, but that is not very cheap method when it comes just to some $500 deposit. I shall do just as JosTheelen did. I'll copy all this info and go to the bank officer to hear what they have to say. Or maybe give Oanda a call to try to arrange something. I know about http://www.bpsaccount.com/ but from Serbia you can make wire only if you are paying for some goods or services, or you are sending money to your family. Strict, I tell you. Anyway, I'll see what I can do.
