hi there
i extremely appreciate any help for making this tool in the attached picture
the tool changes the template of the (current) chart , just by clicking on it

it will be very helpful for the people with old/weak computers who need to watch many charts (without slowing down or freezing their computers)

with this tool ,you can simply:
..>>load (your strategy template)
....>> do your technical analysis ..& if this pair doesn't show a trading opportunity , you will
.......>> click on (none template)
..........>>then you move to the next chart
.............>>repeat

a trillion thanks in advance

Hi Sajid,
Cannot do exactly what you ask as applying template would remove the buttons unless they are already in all your templates.
(Do not know a way around that).

Try this....
Open new chart without any indi's.
Load attached indi.
Put the names of your templates in appropriate user vars.
It will apply chosen template to ALL open charts when button is clicked.
Enjoy.

Thank you futurespec again.

Can you please give a link for box type of text to write strategy (grey color background) and save with the template?

Simnz,
Sorry not sure what you are asking?
The boxes in the ApplyTemplate indi are in fact buttons ... if that is what you mean?
OBJ_BUTTON

If you just want to change colour of buttons then mod attached.

Thank you for your response. Modification is welcome .

My request was not related to this indicator's modification.

Sorry for not making myself clear.

Text tool provided on MT4 chart is not adequate enough to input enough text in words to describe the strategy and the template usage.

Actually, I was looking for somewhat a box-like space (grey color) on the chart in a moveable corner in which I can explain by way of text writing the trading strategy and the use of indicators for that strategy.

I requested for a link to a good MT4 text writer indicator that you might be aware of.

Thank you.

Futurespec,

I don't know how to thank you for all the help you have extended on several occasions.

If you happen to be visiting Hong Kong or I find a chance to visit UK, I will be very happy to meet you.

Simnz,
Not likely to be visiting HK but thanks for the offer.

If I have spare time and can help someone then that is reward enough.
Best wishes,

M.

Hi futurespec aka angel of mercy (sorry I couldn't resist)

I'm not one for hijacking threads but since you have dealt with the OP's request for help I thought this might be the best place to reach you. I have a similar request that I wondered if you would be kind enough to look in to for me if you have the time (or interest). I don't normally make requests like this as it does seem a little cheeky to me but you seem like a nice guy who might be willing to help - but if not I get it and I won't be offended.

So what I'm after isn't anything that's critical to my trading but I think it might be a useful utility to have. All I want is an indicator or script that would create some buttons in a sub-window. Each button when pressed would bring up a different pre-seleted indicator with pre-selected settings in to that sub-window.
For example button 1 might be MACD, button 2 RSI, button 3 a custom indicator etc.

A bit like this...

Hi Wizlon,
Sorry simply do not have the time.
Just helped at weekend as had couple hours to spare.

AND please everyone do not jump onto other peoples threads asking for something completely different.

There are threads on FF offering free coding and that is a good place to start.

No offence intended to anyone.

M.

Many thanks futurespec !
Is it possible to switch templates only on the current charts and not all open charts?

Well thanks for at least taking the time to reply. And I accept the little slap on the wrist too with no offence taken. I much prefer helping others than asking for help anyway - lesson learned.

Hola. Anyway to change this to just change current charts template? Or can I get the code to alter it myself? Thanks!
