Hey guys,

I'm looking for a script for MT4 and MT5 that does the following:

Inputs:
- upper Entry-Level
- Lower Entry-Level
- 3 x upper targets
- 3 x lower targets
- Risk-% (defaults to 1%)

Outputs:
Calculation of Position-size: (( Risk% of Accountsize) / 7 ) and then proper size for that for the distance between upper and lower Entry-Level, so if all three trades hit SL it won't lose more than the set Risk-% of current Accountsize.

Place these six orders:
Buy Stop 1 - Entry: Upper Entry-Level; SL: Lower Entry-Level; TP: Upper Target 1; Size: 4 x Position-Size
Buy Stop 2 - Entry: Upper Entry-Level; SL: Lower Entry-Level; TP: Upper Target 2; Size: 2 x Position-Size
Buy Stop 3 - Entry: Upper Entry-Level; SL: Lower Entry-Level; TP: Upper Target 3; Size: 1 x Position-Size
Sell Stop 1 - Entry: Lower Entry-Level; SL: Upper Entry-Level; TP: Lower Target 1; Size: 4 x Position-Size
Sell Stop 2 - Entry: Lower Entry-Level; SL: Upper Entry-Level; TP: Lower Target 2; Size: 2 x Position-Size
Sell Stop 2 - Entry: Lower Entry-Level; SL: Upper Entry-Level; TP: Lower Target 3; Size: 1 x Position-Size

The orders should also have an expiry set to 24h (could also be a parameter defaulting to 24h) from time the script is running.

Hope that's understandable...

Cheers
Pax

You're new to Forex? You think it's done with a signal on the phone?
I recommend 5 years of study and then you can think about a signal on the phone.
You're just about to throw your money away.

Please be careful.

Yes that has push alerts to mobile. The adx works by measuring if a market is trending or not (adx yellow line) and which direction is stronger (dx+ green and dx- red lines). The alerts on that indicator are when a live or completed candle makes the adx line cross above or below a selected level. It's up to you how you use it.

is this indicator good for the beginners?? i am new to this

I guess I'd consider "beginner" indicators to be the standard indicators included in the mt4 indicator list, they are straight forward and have lots of internet content about their use and how they work, stick to them. Babypips has a very good beginners course.

I am in need of a script that will place both a one time buy pending order and a one time sell pending order at a specified pip amount above and below the high and the low of the previous candle of the current time frame. The script will have a setting for user to input pip amount. When pending orders are placed, lines should be automatically drawn on the chart to note the presence of these orders; red for sell and green for buy. When either the buy pending order or the sell pending order is triggered, the other pending order will cancel out or...

@Here2There,

From the perspective of the System Tester, this is working as you requested. I would forward test this for a bit to confirm this is what you are really requesting.

I attempted to foward test on EURUSD, on the 1 m chart, but its not moving at the moment.

Forgot to mention this is an EA, not a script. A script cannot monitor for changes in orders, as its intended for a one time use.

***Edit - After speaking with Here2There, there was some confusion on why I named it what I did. I have renamed it so that it reflects what this does

I appreciate you putting this together. I am not seeing the lines on the chart.

Also, what is ibuffer?

Also, I meant to say buy/sell stop orders (pending). Limit orders are not the same.

iBuffer is what controls how far up/down past the Previous bar's High /Low is. Set that value to 100 for now while your testing, and you can taper it down to something more suitable , depending on the time frame your working with.

so ibuffer 100 will be 10 pips above the high and 10 pips below the low of the previous candle?

This is not occurring for me - using settings of 100 for iBuffer and 100 for spread on EURUSD 1 min chart (demo forward testing.)

Thank you Badguy - I found and have a fix for this.

I did find another bug where having a buy would not delete the sell stop, so I am working on finding that bug at the moment, so once that is fixed I will upload a new version with the fixes.

Buy and sell lines show in strategy tester but not on live chart. I have removed all indicators to see if there is conflict. I just don't understand why it's not showing on live chart but only on strategy tester.

Do you think it might have something to do with code for ibuffer?

Only if you were using too tight of buffer .

You can try this version in the mean time, but it has the same problem as the original version where if a Buy is triggered, its not removing the sell stop.

Nice thing about this version, you can move the Buy/Sell stop lines after they are placed and the EA will move the Buy/SellStop lines with it.

This means you can set the iBuffer to 100, and then move the lines closer to what you want .

Additionally it fixes the bug that Badguy found with the Arrows (there wont be any arrows now) and with the lines sticking around if there are no trades

I tried adjusting the buffer, even to 200 and as much as 2000, and the lines still don't show on live charts. However, lines do show up in strategy tester. It's very strange.
