Full Time Journey

Hi, thank you for taking time to look this thread over. I've never been on any type of forum and I'm pretty excited to get this started. I've been planning this transition for about a month or more, and just recently I came upon capital to trade full-time; and let me just say it's been quite the two weeks.

I started this journey on Jan 5, 2020; and to be completely fair, it's been much more 'lax than I expected. See, I started trading back in October 2018 when I opened this account, back when I believed I can make more than the professional trader. I was using small accounts and finding brokers with leverage up to 1:1000 in full faith of a 'come up'. Bad habits die hard.

Last year around February I started dabbling with a new kind of trading style. I don't use technical analysis as in: support and resistance, trendline breaks, and candlestick/chart patterns. Those don't work for me and my goal, nevertheless for most traders. My trading style involves the use of MODERN indicators and disposing the shameful RSI's and MACD's. Granted I won't be giving out my full system, but here and there I will post progress on trades I've entered using my system and explaining how it validates itself so I can trade it. So, with a years experience trading this style I'm now confident in going full-time and generating an income for myself.

Here is my most recent trade. (Don't treat this like a signal. I'm not certified or a financial advisor. Trade at your own risk.)
I got confirmation from both the Daily timeframe (yes, I'm a swing trader), and the 4Hour timeframe.
When I got confirmation, volume was high around my entry price, and I measured a 2% risk on my account which resulted in a Lot size of 0.41.
(TradingView is also my practice platform, so you may see early entries at times.)

So I failed to be patient on this trade and so it bit my ass a bit.

A new trade opportunity has presented itself! I've changed the way I narrowed down and chose the pair to trade. Now, this pair (NZDUSD) may be easy to have guessed but the moves it can make are SUPER! I'm aiming for a 2% - 5% return before I take 50% of profits and let run with a trailing stop.

This week has been good to me. I'm up 10% and some which was my goal for the month. This is exciting! Frequent revisions and backtesting of my system have proven to be beneficial!

Now back to the trade, I'm up about 100 pips and have liquidated 0.82 (82,000) of my position and letting the trade run with a stop loss around 75 pips.
So I'd be expecting to end the trade with 0.15*750= $112.5 or (hopefully) 0.15*2000= $300!

Took a bit of a hit last week, but onward we go!
I've pulled out of NZDUSD trade and re-entered at a decently favorable price, but I'll still show the overall trade entry and exit as it will show me at least how to scale out properly.

Just closed my position! This was a good trade and quite honestly I'm dissapointed I didn't scale out properly before exiting and re-entering. Anyways I'm looking at another trade now.

So I've failed to come up with a sustainable system so far, but I just found a way to filter the sideways motion of the markets by using volatility.

The Pair of Interest is EURCAD. Looking at this screenshot we have a pair that has lost the gains made earlier this year and probably looks like mauled park due to choppiness.
The Starlight indicator is still on the bear side, and the Intensity indicator is currently in limbo with no direction decided. Everything is pointing to the downside, especially the June Point of Control. The POC (aquamarine horizontal line by price) is below price and we are getting the ok from our volatility indicator that it is within an active time to trade. I'm looking to short in the future and wait for a signal from the Intensity indicator.

Welp. The EURCAD got a signal to trade it but the volatility isn't there for me to actually enter.
*Just a quick message: I update my watchlist daily and this thread may not be up to date ALL THE TIME.*

I did get a signal to trade GBPJPY and the volatility is there for a decent move.
It is a Sell Stop, which is demonstrated in my Trade Explorer, and has all green lights to enter an Order.



Notice that I don't enter at Market Execution. This is because I use a POC entry strategy where I only enter a trade at the price that has the most volume for the month. Now I understand that things can get shifty when the month begins but this it what the rest of the algorithm is there for.
