Results for this week using EG on MoTuBo: 10% loss

There were a couple of things that contributed to this: firstly the range was very small on a couple of pairs and trades were entered which, in hindsight, should have been avoided; secondly, things were going great into Tuesday when there was a major news spike which dipped my equity down to the 10% max loss I had specified, triggering EG to close all trades.

The market subsequently recovered, and I believe that had I not already lost those two trades that shouldn't have been opened, I may have come out of this week with a nice profit.

So...I've added a min range filter to MoTuBo in the hope to avoid that scenario again.

I will be checking into a couple of bugs reported (above) and hope to have a new version of EG shortly.

My demo turned out even worse. It may be set incorrectly. It's hard to find the same settings as yours. I will attach my settings.

Mine would have ended up in profit if I had not interrupted with the trades. It's all a matter of settings. My stop loss was 100%.

I have been going through the code and trying out various scenarios attempting to reproduce these bugs, but have not been able to do so.

Although, I did get it to close all trades early, it was only because when I applied a new version to the chart, I forgot to set the date for the opening balance - could this have been what happened for you?

As I suspected, I hadn't taken this (perfectly valid) scenario into account.

I have now coded this in, so you should now be able to leave the profit target as zero, and simply let Equity Guardian close using the trailing profit.

Does this EA use the balance or equity to determine when to close the basket? The reason is, sometimes I close some trades at profit which increases the balance but at the same time I'm still floating negative equity so I don't want to close the entire basket until there's an actual equity raise.

I tried to replicate this too, but no matter what I did, the change was reflected in the info panel. If you can force the bug to surface and can tell me exactly how you did it, I should be able to find it, but as of now, I can't seem to get it to go wrong.
