how come you are still running trials with those kind of results (they look quite good to me)? ...

I saw somewhere yesterday that a guy is paying for people taking the FTMO challenge.

He also puts them through some of his own tests first to make sure he isn't wasting his money on people that are are not that good. And apparently FTMO know about it, and are OK with it. He expects high results though, and the drawdown is limited to 5% I believe.

What's in it for him? For people that pass and start earning, FTMO take 30% of the profit share. He is sent the other 70%. He keeps 20% of that 70% and the trader gets sent the rest. The account is always under his name so he has full control.

What's in it for the trader? You get to manage up to $300k as a prop trader with no upfront cost. Seems like a good way to do it if you don't want to pay the FTMO fee. What do other people think?

I have sent FTMO an email to clarify their stance on this. And if they are genuinely OK with it, heck I might start doing it myself and only charge 10% of the profits per month, unlike this guy .

Anyone having issues with Purple Trading Demo account?
I do a free trial with PT, because of the recent issues with LMAX, but it looks PT is not much better.....

Down since 13:56 CE(S)T

And since we trade demo account in reality, this issues make me cautious....

Back online, but all my trades from today are gone.
Had 1 GU trade this morning ended in profit and had 2 EU trades open.
Now all trades are gone, it won't show the trades I did today. Balance is the same when I started this morning

I don't mind violating the rules at this point. Still in Trial phase.

What worries me is this behaviour.

If someone is a FTMO trader you still trade on a demo account (correct me if I'm wrong).
But if this kind of issues happens, you can end up by missing profit on trades or violate the rules.

Never seen that trades are being removed from a demo account, so Purple Trading is a nogo for me.

For me,this is the 3rd time happened with Purple demos, Don't know really do i have to put up with this.
Everything else looks rosy with FTMO except this brokers , platforms and data issues.

* Purple Trading Issues today 22/06/2020 *
Unfortunately, some of our traders might have experienced server outages and we have received reports of accounts being dysfunctional for about an hour or showing incorrect stats. At this time we are still investigating the issue and the conclusion has not been reached yet. We will need to gather more information before giving any official statements but please rest assured we will look for the best solution for both sides. In regard to our communication announcing issues with the brokers – The problem we encounter when announcing that there is an issue with a certain broker is that we tend to receive a lot of claims that this issue was a cause of someone’s poor results. If a majority of these claims were true, we would be happy to announce any issues that we discover, but sadly we found out that upon announcing an issue, the vast majority of the claims are false and just attempts to avoid poor trading results using the broker issue as an excuse. We tend to announce only severe issues that we do not expect to be resolved within a matter of several hours.

If you lose one FTMO Account, it does not have any further implications for our future cooperation. If you wish to become an FTMO Trader again, you do need to go through Challenge and Verification again, there are no shortcuts for ex-FTMO Traders.

We have no special rules about hedged positions which would be causing our system to disregard them. The equation used to assess Max Daily Loss and Max Loss is as follows:
Current daily loss = results of closed positions of this day + result of open positions.

To anyone who has been caught out by the 'Maximum Daily Loss'. There is a distinct discrepancy between FTMO guidelines and actual Daily Reset Time for daily loss. I have alerted them to this twice now, but they have not corrected it. In a previous challenge, I was caught out by this and maybe thousands of others may have been also. I thought my daily loss had been reset, as per their guidelines and proceeded to trade. See guideline text below, but in reality the 'Maximum Daily Loss' resets one hour later at CET time, one hour after CE(S)T time....

Please note that most countries in Europe switch to Summertime during the Summer. If you see CET written anywhere, it implies the use of CEST during the summer. I have spoken to our media content manager to correct this little error you have seen and as we are just about to launch a new updated version of our website, it was left without correction as the new version will have it corrected already. To clear this up here, we operate in CE(S)T time zone, meaning that right now we are using CEST till late October (25th this year). After 25th October, we will be using CET till late March 2021 (March 28th in 2021) and so on. The Max Daily Loss resets at midnight of CE(S)T.

Hi Mtinifx,
We want to work with the traders who can separate their emotions from their trading. In our experience, revenge trading is quite common, and we want our traders to be able to set themselves a limit for their daily losses and take a break to clear their head if they get close to it. That way they prove to us that they are disciplined, which is a core skill in trading.

there must be a few of these guys about wanting to "help" by paying for your FTMO challenge, i followed FTMO on Instagram within 1 hour my mailbox was bombarded with messages from people offering to pay for my challenge, at the end of the day if you don't have the funds to trade you shouldn't be trading in my honest opinion. Anyone can save up the fee some quicker than others if you cant your clearly over extended with bills in your life and wont trade properly as you'll be trading to get out of your debt's
