It was an historical quarter for DAX June Futures and for all worldwide June Futures. Started around 8500 Mid.March, that's mean almost +50% increase. Today June Futures will expire: 11:55/12 CET for Eurostoxx50 (many DAX shares inside) 13/13.05 CET for FDAX/FDXM 15:30 CET for US June Futures. Potential wild erratic market moves around those hours/min. Take a look at Wirecard shares, yd -60% on DAX30 in Frankfurt, that could amplify every DAX move. I'm also non trading this morning. Too much risk of erratic moves. I'll check the status in the afternoon, but will probably pass until monday on all expiring futures.

hi, anyone trading dax using price ladder? could you please advise which broker/platform do you use? i find it difficult to trade short term and changing values in mt4 platform.

i completely forgot about what time the market closes today. thought i would take a last quick scalp in the evening (long) with 20 points stop. lost track of time and didn't manage to close it before market close. think it might gap down over weekend badly and will be stopped out 200 points lower as it will highly likely gap down complete idiot. this is going to be an expensive lesson

Lol, i didnt mean that i didnt know that market was closing. i meant i didnt realise what the time was and didnt close the position before the market close.

eh ok, sorry didnt realise until now this was a trading journal. my bad

you can't really trade the dax on basis of the orderbook, it's too fast and too thin. try FGBL or S&P 500 futures
(just my impression. probably there are guys who do that but i would believe its very hard, comparably)

GM, hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Great to have the Premier back on (COYS!!!)

Last week was my first week of trading this market.
It had ups and downs! personally I feel it wasn't the best week to show what this pair can do, as we ranged all week.

I felt that short intraday positions would be good as i'm still not back to work, but being stuck in front of a screen for 2x 3 hour sessions left me to mentally tired and to be honest bored AF. its like watching paint dry sometimes.

I was attempting to trade 10 pip bricks and found that a precise entry was hard to achieve as the market would move 20-30 points in a matter of seconds at some points. This was leading to some bad trades.

I may be back in work over the next 1-2 weeks so have decided to move back to 20 pip bricks (Trades last longer and don't need to be monitored during a session) with alerts at each intervals, now I can be notified of each movement where I can move my SL's & orders to suit the setups.

Currently Long @12340, trading plan is shown in chart below. Including SL being hit and potential Short order.

SL hit on morning position.

Strength for move higher seems to be weakening, new HL was formed before short move to 12200.
RENKO is now below MA 100 along with the ICHI CLD.

Short entry was opened @12200 with BRICK breaking below ICHI CLD,
SL@12263 & open TP, will move SL as the ICHI CLD starts or move down below entry.

Only worry is that we are still in a range and price may reject ascending support once again and push towards the resistance @12440, Might have got in too early.
Will re-enter short if stopped out and a break below ICHI CLD happens again. Otherwise will be looking to buy above MA100.

Sectors were all mainly in red this morning apart from tech, its crazy how one sector can keep this market up.
