I don't think anyone is going to lose any sleep if you do mate!

I think most of the competitors have been mentioned somewhere or other on this thread already. Topstep, Traders4traders, Audacity, Blufx, Fidelcrest, 5ers, Enfoid, etc...

I've looked at them all in depth! And I after taking everything into account, all the pros and cons, I have to say that FTMO has the best offer. No doubt about it

Just because someone else mentioned other prop firms here, doesn't mean that I will break my ethics rules and will do the same. I give respect where it is needed. If it was my thread I would like traders to respectfully withhold themselves from mentioning any competition on a commercial thread.
If FTMO published comparisons with other prop firms on their website, then I would be ok with mentioning them here myself.

I respect your opinion about FTMO having the best offer. It is based on your personal criteria.
But based on information that is not freely available on other prop firms websites, I consider FTMO to be the 3rd best so far based on my personal criteria.

My personal criteria in order of importance:
A) broker quality
B) growth plan/max. AUM available
C) evaluation time limit

From memory Fidelcrest is pretty much identical to FTMO - I thought it was even the same people at one point because the wording was identical. I think FTMO is fine personally, I use Purple Trading and have had no issues at all.

First Challenge passed! +4% on the second and haven't started the third yet. In hindsight, doing 3 at the same time without a copier was not advisable. Still, pleased with my progress so far and very happy with FTMO.

Yeah...there's a story behind that! I missed closing a trade last Friday by about 20 seconds...Sunday evening the market had gapped massively and I was stopped out, jut $9 away from hitting max loss!

I didnt think they allowed you have open trades over the weekend mayby that is only when funded,but its never a good idea to have trades open over weekend because what you said gaps and huuge spreads when markets open sunday....better to take loss and be flat over the weekend...

Yeah exactly. Ive been trading many many years and Ive never held trades over the weekend (unless its a swing or position trade obviously). I literally remembered to close it but missed the market close by a few seconds.

When funded, FTMO do not allow the holding of trades over the weekend but fine in Challenge and Verification stages.

im extremely disappointed with how FTMO just ran my case. I had trades open wednesday night and servers started lagging. I screen recorded the whole thing and tried to take profits on the trades but wouldn’t let me. EURCAD mooned and i had larger scalps open but the lag was unreal which caused me to go over the daily loss on my LIVE account.

i sent an email immediately to customer support and the guy guarenteed i wouldn’t lose my account because they knew it was an issue.

Waited 5 days for an email and they finally emailed me saying my case was invalid because the issues were fixed after 7am CEST and all the trades i had open after didn’t count and were my responsibility. What about the trades BEFORE 7am CEST? They offered me a free challenge again which was cool but honestly why can’t they just refund the first 5 trades that accounted for 1100$ which would give me my live account back because i would have never hit the daily drawdown. Server lag got me and its my fault also now? I have. Proof of every email so i called FTMO this morning and talked to customer support over the phone. He couldn’t make sense of the situation either so he sent an internal email asking to look into the 5 trades that were affected WITH proof. Now im either getting kicked or getting another challenge. Im extremely dissapointed with how long it takes for them to send an email i understand you had 100s of emails but giving a rejection after 5 days of waiting was brutal. Knowingly that servers were messed up for days then not even letting clients know there were issues to BEGIN with.

so now i wait for the email on those 5 trades and hope they even refund one which would put me under the 5k or i do the challenge again.... unreal.

anybody ever blew their real funded ftmo account? Because im about to blow mine just wondering if i can still trade for them doing a new challenge and completing all the steps again?

If you are still in the game, I would really consider using that margin protector EA that I posted the link to above. I've been testing it on the demo and it's really good

You will have to requalify by a new challenge and verification.

I dont think it would help if the server was having issues but sounds like a good app to have so you dont have to 'worry' so much

I would assume people have. If you look at youtube you will have many people talk about the challenge but then you dont hear about their funded account ... but thats the way with trading and social media - people post their wins and dont post their losses so much.

Even thou we are all concentrating on the challenge - the real game is the real account.

You may want to check with FTMO - I seem to recall reading that a hedged trade does not offset the daily loss (I may be wrong but better to be safe than sorry).

Second Challenge passed! This has been a good trading week for me. Ill start on the 3rd Challenge account tomorrow.
