Finally cleared 3rd account.
Having a time-based goal is tough, but I can definitely appreciate why FTMO does it. It truly slims the herd. It certainly put my patience to the test.

Yes the time factor is to put the trader under a pressure cooker environment.

Mistakes are usually made under these conditions however, you have shone through brightly.

Congrats!! Absolutely brilliant! Well done mate. Ive decided not to start the challenge on 1 of my accounts yet because its been really tough trading the 2 Challenges I have already in play. Im currently +1% on both (trading different strategies) so want to grow them to around 5% before I start my 3rd Challenge.

Once again, well done...its great to see someone show the art of the possible!

Thanks everyone for all the answers to my question

Yes I do see the answer my don't understand the logic except maybe to get traders to use all the available time available instead of trying to go for broke and attempting to achieve the target in a day or two and run the risk (like I did!) of blowing your chances by exceeding the loss limit.

Well done to the guys who have passed their challenge/s - a real incentive to those of us who are still on the fence!

I’m a longer term trader by nature, and needed to condense down into intra-day style to fit into required time window (which was part of the struggle). But yes, similar methodologies.

Key learning if I were to do it all over again:

- trade each account individually, and not all at once
- as FTMO starts the clock on 1st trade. I was ambitious and placed a trade in all accounts day 1, which naturally created pressure right out the gate. For me, would have been better to trade 1, pass, then move onto next.

All in all, the analytics provided in account metrix, I learned more than anticipated about my own trading behaviors.

Out of curiosity, why did you not just trade them all with the same strategy? I know you said they were similar, but would of been less troublesome to do the same trade for all.

If i pass this first one, I was thinking to do my next 2 at the same time and use the same strategy on both

I think if I had more then one challenge I would think about using a trade copier EA although of course one would have to trade with solid discipline!

Completely concur mate. Looking back, trading all 3 exactly the same would have been much better, especially on the psyche.

If I opened a trade on a saturday, a bitcoin trade, that should still count as a trading day right?

MT5 has many time frames including the M2 and M3 you mentioned missing no need for Ctrader to get those. MT5 is much better then most people even realize just need to take some time to explore around the platform. I also love the fact that the platform almost gets updated weekly with latest features and bug fixes. Mt4 hasn't been updated since January.

Hey guys im freaking out a little. I finally got funded and the servers seemed to have issues all night. I couldn't open or close any trades and i was scalping and had bigger lots. The feed wouldn't update and i went 100$ over the drawdown and they kicked me from the account. i searched previously and found this was an issue before with the datafeed and will definitely be changing brokers. They sent an email out but im worried they will still kick me. Has anyone had any issues? live support told me i won't be kicked but i have terrible anxiety and always think the worst. Luckily i screen recorded it and asked for a reset but was told since it was live it was a special case. i hope FTMO does whats best in this situation as i previously saw that they just deleted the trade historys for the days the server had issues.
