You take adequate and proper time and effort for solid preparation before markets open, and then spend a few hours during the week to trade, that makes life easy; and it is a basis for the simplicity I achieve in trading.

I disagree, you must have all 3 components to achieve Perfect Practise in any endeavour, be it Trading, Sport, Musician or any Professional Career:

CONSISTENCY
1. Sitting Power / Persistence.
2. Have Patience in abundance.

EVALUATION
1. Separate what are you good at / what you have perfected.
2. Practise what needs to be improved, until you have mastered it.
3. Now ask yourself : Is it Easy / Natural for you ?

REPETITION
1. Develop a schedule of practise which is rewarding / pat on the back.
2. Develop a routine set of actions to follow.
3. Develop a "muscle memory" by practising what you have perfected, until it is natural.
4. Keep your the routine going.

Sorry not a single sentence, but some important take-aways from the Ted Talk, at least for me anyway.

Periodical, basically for me as a swing trader weekly, evaluation/assessment of what works or doesn't work in my trading and taking action on how I could improve foster better trading skills, mindset and strategies.

Whenever I day trade, I am guided by the market condition/direction on the D1 and H4 time frames but look/wait for appropriate price action and momentum on the H1 or M15 time frame before entry.

I make packages of N various expert advisors based mainly on breakouts of S/R or trend folowing on X accounts to compensate drawdowns according to 10 years backtests - in that way I solve statistical fluctuations which have any trading strategy in longterm

I am looking to trading XAUUSD northwards should the price action on H4 time frame revert to the mean within the 1724/1721 zone (blue); the market is primarily operating in a wide range (magenta)

Always look for 1:1.5 or 1:2 Risk to Reward per trade or else stay away from investing (as practically you will stay there where you were or you will deplete your

account within short time).
