i am a new member......

but i have studied technical analysis for 30 years.

in a line, i would say : i have found that just looking at swing and getting in and then waiting for the reversal signal keeps you in the market.

sometimes there are reversal signals in quick succession..........that market is looking for direction.

i found this is the best method for short term trading after using elliot wave, fib,demark, brooks price action, swing trading by many others like Linda Raschke, and at least ten others who i have forgotten.......for 3 decades.

i am now trading gold.

also i used to have one problem mentally......i was scared that the market would go against me so i used to take profit early. once i learned to hold till the reversal signal comes did i truly find the treasure.

complicated theories about what drives markets is unnecessary..........and most add on like fib waves abc indicators volume DOM or order flow, are very fantastic but they do not tell you anything new or more than what you can conclude from the naked chart itself.

My five cents.
Everything everywhere is cause and effect. The chart is as close to an absolute as we can get, the sum total of causes that became effects and how the effects became causes. Everything is in there. If you can read that, then you can even make money with "betting" on someones poker balance account or someone tossing coins.
If you understand you wont call me crazy, there is no "luck", only cause and effect. If you can read this in the chart, you can forecast everything, it goes way beyond forex. The chart is so deep. All these "holy grails" try to get closer to reading it, some better than others. If you can get close enough, market changes don't matter. That makes something a holy grail, and it does exist.

I support that technical analysis is enough, you don't need anything else, no fundamental, nothing. but you need technical analysis of another level.

edit* i would like to add that analysis of that level get increasingly complex the more you want to know, it is very very hard for a person to know a lot. "a lot" being relative.
