Its obvious traders are buying/selling every weeks, hence you see up and down in the positionning
But market sentiment doesn't change that often

You need to COT the same way you use your chart, aka look at the overall picture, just don't look a single week (or a single candle on your chart)

personally , cant use that data.
like you said i have chart, and chart showing trend and S&R or S&D zone - more powerful then that?

Lets face it, COT is bad at timing the entries, so a good strategy based on S&D zone is very good

Is it better than that? i can't tell you really, we all have different ways of trading/investing

COT is not for your intraday routine, the goal is to load some buys/sells and hold it for weeks/months.

To me COT is powerful if well used, it tells me what the market participants are doing overall, if they are loaded or not.
But of course i look at the S&D areas, oscillator, etc... to get entries that COT is not giving

my H1 EurUsd uptrend has been running 171 hours atm.. . one of the longest since I tracked my system
