Hey Dan
Since you expressed interest in the break even indicator, I'm guessing you are thinking of trade recovery.
If you have many trades open and are trading more than 1 currency pair simultaneously, then you might also be interested in the iexposure indicator which shows the BE pips plus your overall exposure.
If you have both BUYS + SELLS open the Net Lots column combines the 2 directions and gives you the net lots for that pair.
The rest is self explanatory.

Many thanks Billy. I actually have this indicator (one of the many I have stumbled across over the years) but stopped using it a while ago for some reason. Will revisit it again.

This version adds all the lots together so it gives you a summary of the net lots.
But more importantly, the total is without the hedged trades (which cancel each other out)

@billy, not sure what I am doing wrong, but the TP (and the SL when I tried that also) is not being set when i place orders using the panel. Image attached (TP was set to 100 pips, but TP showing 0 in the terminal). Thanks

Most likely you have autohedging=true.
I have not tried this feature and when I posted V17 I didn't get any feedback from other traders
so I assumed the autohedging was working properly but it looks like it is not.
Have you noticed anything else?
Please have a play with the EA and let me know.

A lot of people have downloaded the panel but there was no feedback perhaps none else is using it

Anyway, I wanted to modify the autohedging function so that the EA places a hedging pending order on the chart.
This is a safer option because if you've lost internet connection or your MT4 terminal froze, the hedging would still take place.
I have not done this yet. because it will take a bit of time to work out the exact logic (due to the partial trade closure).
I should also make the magic number visible so it can be changed.

I saw your request for pending orders, what type of orders were you thinking and for what purpose?

Basically, in its current form, when you click 'buy' or 'sell', the EA places instant market order. However, one might want to place a stop/limit order at a price different from the current price. You might ask why don't I just place the stop/limit order manually without the EA. It's because I like the functionality of the EA being able to adjust the lot size in relation to the risk percentage per account balance/equity etc. Just a nice function to have if it is not going to be too much work for you to add on. Bill, I did actually notice the same but still seeing how it all works...and it would be great to have magic number visible and being able to change, thanks!

I'm using it daily, I've never got the Break even line to display but it works well for scalping. Thanks again for sharing

the break even line is a separate indicator, I find it useful when I'm scalping

Hi @billy, just feeding back like I said I would. The EA appears to be doing what it is meant to do (as far as I understand it, as I must admit I can't say I fully understand the 'basket' functions. May be if you could give an example of how you use it or your settings). So, apart from the issue I already mentioned in post #206 (TP and SL not being set when orders are created), another issue is that when you click to move the panel from the original position on the chart to another position on the chart, it leaves a duplicate image behind (picture attached). Another suggestion/request from me if possible, could the TP for the baskets have the option of being in pips as well as opposed to only being in cash? Many thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.
The double image you see was caused by your MT4 options or the currency pairs of your MT4 or the historical data which the EA didn't like so it removed itself,
The way to fix this is to open a new chart and to apply the EA again but remembering this time to tick the boxes and allow DLL's and Automated trading.

The missing TP when Automatic hedging=true will be fixed in the new version and I've done some other changes as well.

Since I'm using the panel for my manual trading and I have symbolbasketTP=true
I don't want the "symbol basket TP" function of the EA to close the profitable side of a hedged trade
(remember that this basket TP looks at BUY and SELL trades independently so once a BUY or SELL trade has reached the"symbol basket TP" it will close)
Therefore, I'm leaning towards a solution where once a trade becomes hedged , it stops being controlled by the EA.
(I will manually close the hedged BUY or SELL trade (or both)) at a later time.
Or I can un-tick the box "Only Manage Panel Orders" and then the EA will close the profitable side of the hedged trade.
NOTE: unticking this box will allow the EA to control any open trades on the chart so if you have symbol basket TP=true
and you untick this box, the EA will close your profitable trades at the EA's symbol basket TP settings
(and perhaps it will close them prematurely (before they have reached their individual trade TP))
so I would leave this box alone.

I will also add BUY Pending and SELL pending buttons which will place limit orders at X pips above or below market price.
We can then drag the pending order to the exact price we want.

Hi @billy, the reverse button is not working properly, open twice lots in the opposite direction but then open one lote in the same direction. If you can fix it. thank you

I cannot reproduce your problem, perhaps you pressed the REVERSE button repeatedly.
Play with it on demo and get familiar with the process.

If you have 1x 1 LOT SELL trade open and you press the REVERSE button once,
the EA opens 1 x2 LOTS BUY trade (x2 size of the original trade in Reverse)

If you press it again, it opens x1 of the reverse trade (in this case=2 LOTS) in the opposite direction.
If you press it again, it opens x1 (in this case=2 LOTS) of the previous REVERSE trade in the opposite direction.
I don't know why the EA creator ( Nicholishen) made it like this, perhaps it suits his trading.

EXAMPLE OF SYMBOL BASKET TAKE PROFIT OF 1 OPEN TRADE

Here is an illustration of a symbol basket TP with 50% partial closure of 1 single trade
You can see how 1 single trade closes fully 100 pips later after splitting 7 times.
This is manual trade (you can see that the box "Only Manage panel orders" is not ticked) and as such there is no SL or TP

The idea behind this style of trading (symbol basket TP with partial closure
is Not to maximize profits but rather to get as much profit as possible
while at the same time we limit our risk because if at any moment the market reverses on us, we will get caught with a smaller size trade.

In the picture you can also see that the BE function was enabled ( the BE button is orange)
so in this particular case, when our trade reached 10 pips in profit,
the EA moved the TP to +2 pips, so after this point we were no longer at risk.
One could argue that not splitting the trade would be more profitable and often this could be true but
greed is not always our friend.
You don't see this in the picture but if you check your GBPJPY chart, today you will see that the market already reversed 50% from the top where trade 7 closed. We don't know what the market will do next and how much profit we will be able to take from 1 trade so we should be happy with what the market gives us.

This example is for only 1 open trade and this function is enabled with the inputs

And here you can see what happened afterwards, if we hadn't taken profit, we would have been stopped out.
But consider this, since our original full sized trade was reduced in size, our losses would have been smaller.

Hi Bill, I've been doing demo trading and I'm pretty impress with HP17. Thank you for a great tool.
I'm taking trades following m1/M5/M15 indicator.
I've attached 2 pictures of trades EUDAUD where I activated reverse and later on pressed hedged and walked away....since that activated you see plenty of trades...is EA trying to recover losses....it has taken trades in both directions and still not finish.....could you please explain how it's working?
