I really appreciate your concern and time spent looking at the system but backtesting run on mt4 will not get anywhere for the following reason Not consider the overall trend Not consider support and resistance Not consider repainting signal which from the beginning was clearly said that it was repainting And finally not considering price action So if you want to review something then do it right and i hope we will not get into a long debate over it

I don't want to be judgmental, but there is validity to back-testing. As long as you aren't back-testing it during economic releases or right when a crisis happened, it should work just fine. Even when I work past this two sample (Crisis and non-crisis period from 2008 to 2020), the system won't work past its own limitation aka false signals. You should think of a better way in enhancing the system, instead of blindly leading the pack by reinstating the statement of "Back-testing won't work".

{quote} Alhalawi, When you recommended that NZDJPY SELL trade, the Trendstrenght was flat and not below 35. I would not have recommended taking that trade because I would only be SPECULATING on where the direction would go next, which could be either ways. Now look at the same chart hours later. Advice: NEVER TAKE A TRADE WHEN THE TRENDSTRENGHT VALUE IS HOVERING BETWEN 65-35 even if all the setup and entry criteria are met. BE PATIENT AND WAIT FOR VALUES ABOVE 70 FOR BUY and BELOW 33 FOR SELL. Take note that the Trendstrenght Values must be in the...

Yesterday's and Today's market movement once again exposes the shortcomings in the system and re-emphasizes the importance of checking the value of TrendStrenght Composite RSI to get an OVERALL VIEW of the Trend direction before initiating a trade. IMHO as long as we keep to my advice as quoted in my earlier post, we should be fine. Trade Safe

Please on how use the trendstraight indicator, what is your suggestions on the time frame to use while trading on H1 time frame cos we can't use all time frames in the trendstraight RSI indicator?

{quote} EURUSD, SL Hit, -55 pips I think H4's trend is also important that must be sync with D1 and W1 timeframe trend. none of these three TF should be in conflict each other. e.g. for sell each of H4,D1,W1 must be one of SDT(strong down trend),WDT(weak down trend),CN(consolidation). so i'm testing in this mode from now on. GBPJPY (SELL): {image} It's not an ideal setup. all conditions met and H4,D1,W1 is also in sync, except that price isn't on resistance zone so it's a Non Conservative trade.

GBPJPY (SELL) closed at BE after TP1 is reached.

I think all conditions met for entering sell. in addition to that, Overall Trend (D1 & W1) at least isn't against you. i entered a bit late after close of candle below ema21, because i was waiting for confirmation of H4 weak up trend to goes below ema21 ( red small dot in TTI). i appreciate any comment about this trade.

thank you

I agree with OmegaFire, and that is one of the reasons I dropped the CompRSI indicator for us to use. Its the most effective means to judge the market state.

The only thing i do differently, is i read values over 50 as bullish all the way to around 70+. Over 70 for me...reversals may be likely, so I adjust my risk accordingly.
Under 49, to around 30- ...i see as bearish. under 30, again i adjust my risk accordingly.

If i entered a long trade, and RSI dips to under 50, i close, and vise versa.

I use all except the monthly. That gives a nice overall picture trading the h1.

{quote} I don't seem to notice any change in the value of the TrendStrenght no matter the timeframe, but I will install the TTI and watch the difference Watch out for a massive AUDCAD & NZDSGD SELL It has hit resistance on H1, H4 and Daily which signifies a major downward trend forming. Wait for Criteria to be met on H1 and then load it up

Hi OmegaFire, Can you explain what might have gone wrong with AUDCAD?

Thank you

And this is why Im all for the COMPRSI. Sure you'll miss a few trades, but you will also stay out of these too.

CompRSI, Over 50 and kept rising--- So even if your bias was to sell, you wouldve stayed out.

**Edit
notice too, the compRSI went over 70, then dropped off, but price made a high, then drop.

This is why my philosophy is....over 70 reading....be careful staying or going long, as reversals may be coming.

The CompRSI Trendstrenght indicator does not change value no matter the timeframe, so it is consistent in giving an OVERALL VIEW of the Trend across multiple timeframe. The only thing I will add is that if you are initiating trade based on our strategy, then you will of course enter trade when conditions are met on the H1. Lastly, I will advise that you disable the Monthly completely and the weekly (if you wish) for precision. Personally I only the H4 and Daily setting on the indi to calculate my CompRSI Value.

70 and above - Go LONG
35 to 65 Consolidation (DON'T TRADE)
Below 35 - Go SHORT

Trade Safe

Hello @Winnigag
I think you are interpreting the CompRSI value differently. For me, the higher the better for BUY continuation and the lower the better for SELL continuation as explained above. Whenever the market makes a major move, it will always get to a points of temporary consolidation at Support and Resistant level before trend continues or reverses depending on the value of the CompRSI. Use any AutoPivot in collaboration with your AutoFibo to determine TP levels. I can share my AutoPivot indi if anyone is interested

Price made a new high but rsi didnt, so it comes to divergence. Follow the system and plus this signal so I decided to take a short. Also I see that trendstrength value was about 3x eventhougth tti was still blue

NZDUSD and AUDJPY on sell watch. So you wait for RSI value to reduce to 35 in order to short?
